During evening peak hours i.e. 8:30 pm, if a neighbour serving Afghani cuisine is crowded than the adjacent restaurant serving the same Afghani cuisine, there must be a reason.
If the same busy neighbour has over 8400+ reviews compared to the one that has a slow traction of less than 1000 reviews, there must be a reason.
My folly was that I didn't listen to my wife, but entered an empty restaurant (with two African customers) in the hope of getting not-so-bad-food compared to their busy neighbour, Mazaar restaurant.
And what we got in our plates was the highly recommended Uzbeki Pulao and Mutton Tikka. While Tikka was not at all succulent, the Pulao was cooked in stale oil. It was brought to the notice of the cashier cum waiter, but he dismissed it immediately.
To add suspicion to our entire experience, the bill was presented to us on a rough piece of paper in manual writing. Definitely the best way to avoid paying any taxes for any restaurant. Hey, Delhi government, are you reading this?
And by the way, this Afghani Uzbeki dish is a derivative of the original dish in Uzbekistan called Plov. The original Uzbek plov besides the carrots sometimes also...

The place is a compact place with 3 ACs inside. Somehow the guy thinks he can save electricity by turning on the ACs one by one. LOL. They kept the AC on while I was waiting for the food and then they turned it off.
I asked them to turn on the AC but they didn't. It got so hot, I had to leave without finishing my food.
Food is good. Maybe they can use some more smiles and friendliness while serving and all.

Read moreSorry but i have been to this restaurant many times. Today it was not at all a good experience. Bamian restaurant was closed and majaar had lots of crowd so we tried this this one is generally empty( now I know why it is never crowded) . I had friends who were trying this cuisine for first time because I suggested them but it was very embarassing for me. Chicken was way too dry in chicken kadhai so we just ate it half. Bread was too dry as well. Veg item was not so good too and quantity of pulaw was way too less compared to other restaurants too. We gave our complaint too but they anyway charged for every dish. Now owner will comment here that it's not his restaurant where we have eaten but the point is I can recognise by the photos and he should comment the same when people r praising...
