Think we have been visiting this restaurant for quite a few years now and it was about time I wrote down the praise for this lovely establishment. I have been a fan of the brand since I studied in DU back in 2010 when that used to be the only QD’s around. I have to say, I was apprehensive when the branches started popping up. But it’s not only lived up to the reputation but in fact has transformed the reputation into something superior.
Food is always on point and fantastic. The menu is very diverse and there is something for everyone. Tandoori momos are always a hit and you cannot go wrong with them. Indian dishes are really good and the flavours are true. Indi Chinese is really good as well. Some dishes can be on the slightly sweeter or in the opposite end on the slightly spicier side. But you can mention your preference and they will curate it for you. The latest editions of sizzlers was tried by us in our recent visit and they are fantastic. We tried the shawarma platter as well and it was mind blowing. Portions are huge so don’t underestimate one main per person.
Service is fantastic. The owner used to be always present here and used to personally oversee what was going on. In my latest visit the owner was not there as they have other branches to monitor as well now. But still the staff was as attentive as a hawk. They repeatedly check in and make sure you get what you need. We were very specific in some of our requests as we were hosting a couple of people who were visiting India for the first time and we got exactly what we ordered and how we ordered.
Prices are at par to a similar establishment in Delhi. But the value just seems more on an overall basis. Only issue sometimes can be appropriate parking as Lajpat Nagar is always crowded. A valet would be a huge step forward. But at dinner time I have rarely ever had a problem finding a nearby spot.
Must recommend and one of our favourite places in Delhi for a...
Read moreQD's have recently opened this new restaurant in Lajpat Nagar Market. But it so different from other QD's restaurants that I've visited so far. For the first time, it's not just band and movie posters on the wall, they actually did a decent job with their decor and ambience.
Location : 4/5 It's easy to get there, it's located in the lajpat nagar main market. Get down at Lajpat nagar metro station(violet line) and take a rickshaw to drop you here. Or you can walk here and explore the market and local street food in your way. The road has no cuts for U-turns.
Ambience : 5/5 I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. The first floor is gorgeous but the second floor is more quieter. We asked to sit there but they refused because they were short on staff. This isn't a very loud place and the crowd here is okay too. It's a good place to meet up with an old friend and have a chat while enjoying a good meal.
Staff : 3/5 I gave the staff a 3/5 because the lady who was serving us wasn't acting very professional. But then again, everyone has good days and bad days.
Food : 4/5 Food was good, just like any other QD's. Not too spicy, but not bland. I was disappointed with the watermelon+thyme juice because i didn't get anything other that watermelon in the juice. Instead of thyme, i feel mint would've worked better.
Menu : Their menu is a lot different from the other QD's. The portions, the prices, very different. Like you can see the glasses for our beverages in the pictures and we all know they're bigger;the tandoori momos platter came with only 4 pieces instead of 6 and same with peri peri paneer tikka.
Value for money : 4/5 I feel it's good because you pay not just for your food but for the ambience too. I don't mind their prices, they're decent. They have really upped their game with this outlet.
Recommended : Shakes, tandoori momos, mutton rogan josh,...
Read moreThis was my second visit to QD's restaurant with my parents and probably a better one than the first. Since i went there second time , i wanted to try things which i couldn't try last time. The first thing we ordered was Fish Fingers, The fingers were really soft on in the inside and a bit crispy on the outside and they were served with white mayo as a dip and some fries. Overall, It was really appealing. Then, we had paneer tikka. The paneer was really tender and juicy and had right sort of flavours and taste. Then, we had Drums of heaven which were really tasteful and delicious. The chicken was properly cooked and the gravy made it even more better. Then, we ordered chilli paneer platter with rice and they too were good. Next thing we had on our table was Masala Dosa. The size of the dosa was quite large but it was a bit oily. However, its taste compensated for that and that too was a good try. The last thing which i ordered was Butter Chicken platter which included two lachha paratha with it. When j visited this place for the first time, i really liked the butter chicken but this time around it was just average. Maybe, the taste of tbe lachha paratha overpowered the taste of the chicken. Moreover, the services and staff of this place is really nice and prompt. Overall, i had a really warmth experience and I'll look to visit here more in the...
