A few days ago, I visited Pind Balluchi in Lajpat Nagar for dinner, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Here's a detailed breakdown of my visit:
Ambiance and Interior: The restaurant has a welcoming ambiance with a casual, family-friendly vibe. While the interiors are decent, they could benefit from some modern updates to enhance the dining experience. The greenery and lighting add a nice touch but don't expect anything too fancy.
Food and Drinks: We started with the Chicken Tikka and Veg Spring Rolls. The Chicken Tikka was perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection, offering a burst of flavors with every bite. The Veg Spring Rolls were crispy on the outside and had a delicious filling, making them a perfect appetizer.
For the main course, we had Chicken Curry and Pudina Paranthas. The Chicken Curry was rich, creamy, and packed with spices, making it a delight for the taste buds. The Pudina Paranthas were fresh, soft, and had a refreshing mint flavor that complemented the curry well. To wash it all down, we ordered some cold beer, which was served chilled and added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Service: The service was good, with the staff being polite and attentive. However, the service was a bit slow, which could be improved to make the dining experience more seamless.
Overall Experience: Pind Balluchi offers a satisfying dining experience with delicious food and decent service. While the interior could use some modernization, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. If you're in Lajpat Nagar and looking for a place to enjoy some good North Indian cuisine, Pind Balluchi is...
Read moreMy experience with the food served was mixed; but the response of the manager was HORRIBLE. At first, the restaurant has a nice ambience, the plates and tumblers were 99% clean... Soup was served in a glass cup and not in a bowl+ and the soup was a bit salty..... that's probably why no pepper or salt on the table for one to add..... Packaged drinking water was served as an option.... The server could not serve using the typical 2 spoon or spoon & fork method, and was spilling our food on the table and a bit on the floor too... We then managed our food ourselves.
The butter roti and tandoori roti were fresh and soft.... The malai kofta had a super rich gravy and the taste was yummy..... But the dhaniya murg curry was again salty; at least the server was curious and after taking our feedback, promptly got the curry modified accordingly...
And finally comes the billing episode, with a so called CUMPOLSARY SERVICE CHARGE of 10%, as informed by the Manager.. I brought his attention to the recent Min. of Consumer Affairs NEWS and the GUIDELINES issued by them which says that service charge are optional and not to be thrusted on the guests... As i was with my family on a special occasion, I couldnot explain to the manager for more than 5 minutes that service charge was not cumpolsary and had to end up paying around Rs 150/-.....
Will I recommend this restaurant..... DEFINITELY NO for the inexperienced servers and the STUBBORN manager, who was hell bent up on to extract the...
Read moreQuite average experience. Food taste was very average. Plates were not clean, asked for change. Nobody came for order for 10 mins as if we didn't exist, even though not many guests were there. This is a repeat behaviour we observed. They kept water bottles as if normal water but later saw charged Rs. 190 + GST for 2 bottles of 1 ltr each. Quite steep price and it's Pind Balluchi brand. They never tell you those are chargeable. Snacks were fine. Dal Makhani very average, paneer gravy was tasty. Somebody said it tastes like chicken curry. So dont know if they serve same to vegetarians. Have my doubts now. On top of that, the Bill had Staff Contribution charge of 10%, forced upon in the bill. QUITE UNETHICAL. Didn't challenge there as didn't want to create scene and read reviews that the staff acts rude if questioned. But will definitely bring this to notice of Food Ministry and complain on eDaakhil portal. No lift at this facility, difficult for elders to climb 3 flight of stairs, approx. 32-35 steps. PB, you replied but no corrective action. You didn't disagree to any point. And knows issues of water bottle charges and Staff Charges have been told by earlier guests in their reviews. So it's a generic reply for reviews but you won't change exorbitant charges. It's not Alkaline water that you charge Rs.95 for 1 ltr. What's so special other than FLEECING CUSTOMERS. Why force Staff Contribution charges when you Lack in...
