I often come here to work on weekdays and with my family sometimes during the weekend. I/we enjoy this café a lot: it is cosy, but most of all, the coffee, the tea, and the food are all very good, fresh, and prepared with care. Today, we were served by Shabana, Priyanka and Ajay. My kids loved the beautifully arranged pancakes with generous fruit and cream topping, which Shabana and Priyanka prepared, and I much enjoyed my latte, prepared by Ajay, together with the hummus and pita platter, which I always find very tasty.
Post scriptum: I do not take back what I wrote in my review, but sometime later, I was tacitly invited to leave when the place began to get crowded closer to lunchtime. I was not the only one who'd been sitting and working there, having already finished their beverage and snack. Perhaps because I made eye-contact with a staff member, s/he approached me and I was asked to move to the table beside me where another guest was working on his/her laptop, so that a young couple could take over my table. I could have done the move, would it not have been physically impossible to have my own tablet and things on the oher guest's table and continue working - there was simply not enough room for the two of us. I pointed that out to the staff member, but by that time, the pressure was such that I decided to interrupt my work, pack my things, and leave my table to the young couple. I have not returned to the café since. I fully understand the challenge of having a Starbucks-style café where people are entitled to stay on and work/read/write for hours and at the same time having to serve lunch in a fast-food manner. However, it is never nice to have the feeling that one is implicitly asked to leave while other guests in the same situation are allowed to stay (especially having been a loyal guest!) Perhaps it would be fairer to everyone if the management put up a sign saying something like, 'During lunchtime and busy hours, we kindly ask our guests to only take up tables if they are consuming or have ordered food...

I’ve been a regular at Third Wave Coffee and used to visit the Defence Colony branch quite often—until a deeply disappointing experience changed everything.
There was a staff member named #Aanand (as per his name badge) who consistently displayed extremely rude, unprofessional, and dismissive behaviour. During his duty hours, I often noticed him glued to his mobile phone, completely ignoring customers—including me. I would call out politely to place an order or simply ask for water, and he would pretend not to hear. Shockingly, it would take another staff member to inform him that a customer was calling, and even then, he’d respond in a rude, arrogant tone.
One particular incident truly crossed all limits. I requested a glass of water—just a simple, basic courtesy. Not only did he ignore me, but he also told another staff member not to give it to me. This was deeply upsetting and humiliating. When I finally asked for his name before leaving, he pointed to his badge and mockingly said, "See here. Look carefully—what can you do, I will see." It felt like a threat—and no customer should ever feel intimidated in a place meant for relaxation and comfort.
Since that day, I’ve stopped visiting the Defence Colony branch completely. This kind of behaviour is absolutely unacceptable, especially from a reputed brand like Third Wave Coffee, which is known for its service. I truly hope the management takes serious note of this and ensures no other customer has to go through this kind of treatment.
Until then, I’ll continue visiting the *Green Park (S Block) outlet—where people like Ankit remind us what true hospitality looks like. 🙏

Read moreThis review is for the CP, Delhi Branch-
I am a client of your using the ThirdWave CP, New Delhi Brand for last couple of weeks and would like to give the following feedback:
Today I had ordered a single shot espresso like everyday at approx.1230pm and was busy with my work. The waiting staff came to me and said- either order again at approx. 3.45pm or leave. i asked for the manager. The Manager Bhagat Singh within 5 mins and told me that I need to spend Rs. 500-600 everyday because I am working here at the cafe or I am not welcome. He primarily targeted me as I did not see him going to anyone else- some people had not even placed an order and were sitting in a group. His point of rush hour did not make any sense as 40% of the cafe is still empty. The Manager’s tone was not business like or conciliatory but menacing. The cafe is filled with small flying flies everywhere and spiders on the corner that I complained about for 2 days was told off by a waiting staff- “we are aware, you don’t need to tell us.” The teller does not concentrate while taking the order- noticed several times. Cafe’s are friendly places to hangout and do work- you can request a customer to order, you can’t tell them order or leave especially if its a regular customer. If i don’t feel welcomed here than why could I come here? In fact i won’t go to any ThirdWave branch after this experience. This is such a bad way of doing business especially in the hospitality industry that I am short for time and words. If they had used a friendly gesture rather than a business tone than I would have placed another order and if not today than I would have placed order another day. Yesterday i ordered- lemonade coffee, day before i ordered Hummus platter. I can’t work out my diet based on your bad business practices. Hopefully this feedback...
