Had a disappointing experience at Madhav Dining Hall.
We ordered steamed rice, but what was served was barely 95% cooked and came floating in what looked like steamed water. When I politely raised this issue with the waiter, he responded with arrogance and a rude attitude. Hoping for a better resolution, I requested to speak to the manager, but to my shock, the manager was even more unprofessional, dismissive, and spoke in a highly arrogant tone. It became clear to me that if this is the kind of leadership in the restaurant, the staff would naturally follow suit. I immediately cancelled my entire order and prepared to leave.
But just then, a young boy, possibly around 20โ21 years old, approached us. His calm, professional, and genuinely apologetic attitude stood out. He acknowledged the issue without any excuses and promised to recheck the food and replace it. Impressed by his respectful approach, I decided to give it another shot and re-ordered.
Sadly, the same half-cooked rice with steamed water was sent again. I showed it to the same boy, and once again, he humbly apologized and offered to replace it. Though I declined the offer this time, I truly appreciated his honesty, he never denied the mistake or tried to cover it up.
I ate what was acceptable and left the rest untouched. Before leaving, I gave a generous tip to the young gentleman and encouraged him to maintain his professional attitude. People like him give hope, Iโm sure heโll go far in life if he continues this way.
Bottom line: One good staff member saved the day from becoming a total disaster. But the restaurant management seriously needs to learn the basics of customer service and humility. Mistakes can happen in food service, itโs how you respond to them that makes all...

Service is horrible, had to call waiter 3 times just to clean the table, cleaning table they dropped food on chair and then cleans the chair with same cloth. Order butter sada dosa, pav bhaji n bengan bharta. Dosa was tasteless without butter, pav bhaji pretty avg. Bengan bharta didn't come for 40mins. We finished 2 dosas, pav bhaji somehow n despite 4 reminders they didn't get my order. In 2 mins was the only words they say for 10mins. Frustrated I said get me bill instead on bengan bharta n he insensitive say go on counter and pay. Bill was faulty, they charged for M water that they didn't give and to add to it they returned incorrect money (20 less) n I was in no mood to check the amount returned. Overall worst dinning experience. Wouldn't recommend anyone to go. There are many good...
ย ย ย Read morewe have very bad experience in this hotel, manager was changed and he responded with arrogance and rude behavior. We dinner at Hotel Madhav near the temple in Dwarka, this hotel avery old and famous location,But our experience, the quality there is no longer the same as before. Neither the food had any special taste, and very bad experience the service, not was attention paid to cleanliness. On top of this, the prices are also quite high, which did not seem fair to the experience. Despite being located at such a prominent place, the hotel is no longer able to maintain its old reputation. In our opinion, until there is improvement ,especially in terms of taste, cleanliness and prices - we would not recommend...
