Boom Shankar Restaurant — Restaurant in Goa

It was just terrible ... we was ordering before some guys ordered and we just get our food when they was finished with eating. As we get our food it was completely disgusting and was described also completely different .. I ordered falafel and get some veggie patties with just a little bit of chickpeas and with a lot of corn ... the pita tasted like sour soap.. after 30 minutes we left this restaurant I was getting powerless, dizzy and I was throwing up a lot. So THIS is not to recommend !!!! We also ordered at happy hour time one mojito ... they said you get two of the price of one.. the second mojito was surely without alcohol ... just ridiculous ! The only thing I can recommend is that there is a beautiful sight to the beach and Shivas Face in the rocks. The location to the left of it was also nothing for us because there were completely unfriendly as there recognized we are no Russians .. and sorry 500 rupies just for sitting there is just like a bad joke... as tourist just go there.. drink something and enjoy the beautiful panorama to the ocean and the beach. I am extremely disappointed with this place. Such a BT! Haaak the server is extremely rude and racist. Me and my two friend sat down by the beach beds to order some food and enjoy the view. Haaak came started shoving us away from the beds without giving any reason. When we said that we will order the food, he rudely replied that the “beach beds” will be CHARGEABLE. I showed him the menu where in point number 3 it’s mentioned that the beds won’t be if we ordered food. I went back to the restaurant and demanded an explaination to which he said that IF YOUR ORDER IS ABOVE ₹1500, only then you can use the beds. Basically he ASSUMED that being Indians, we won’t spend that kind of amount.

Such a misleading way of running a business! And we were the only Indians there hence getting this cold and inhospitable ALMOST DEMEANING service. They were only being nice to the foreign nationals - which was oh-so-evident.

Boom Shankar cafe is extremely racist and cold towards Indians. Don’t consider this place as an option for...

After reading the below reviews we didn't want to go there. But since fish tail was closed and there were no other options available we went there and checked for the beach beds. We were the only guests there as it was too early and there were a couple of people on the beach. The server old us that the beds are chargeable even if we order. He was very rude and said will charge Rs 200 per head even for the 4 yr kid!! I told him we don't want the bed and then went to check if any other shacks are open. Meanwhile when I was away the server came again and asked my wife to move away from their shack else they will charge us for even a minute!! This was the rudest place I have ever been to and will never go to this place again. Is there anyway we can complain about them to the tourist dept/ ministry??
