You go to bakery and than one of those fine days you land up to @breakingbread_withaaron You get to know about the concept and finally decide to feature it on your blog. Sounds simple, no trust me it's not.
Let me try to put it in a chronological arrangement. @breakingbread_withaaron is a brainchild of Aaron Savio Dsouza who was born and brought in Mumbai. Passionate Baker decided to join IHM and belongs to batch of 2002 - 2005 of IHM Mumbai (Dadar they call it ๐) To be honest after meeting so many entrepreneurs till date I was surprised with the amount of passion Aaron holds for bakery, so I digged deep. Aaron went back to college as a Bakery faculty from 2009 - 2014 where he shared his knowledge and passion with budding bakers and became their favourite in no time.
Aaron always looks to do things with perfection and his bakery products is just the extension of his personality. Having spoken to him about notorious things IHM Mumbai people do in college to what are his plans with Bakery in future, everywhere he looked very clear with his vision. Nevertheless I will solely give credit to his wife who is an architect to design this beautiful Bakery and Cafe.
Out of all the scrumptious items to offer I tried Chicken Cafreal Croissant, Chocolate Messy Danish, Banana Caramel Eclair and Chicken Thai Curry Bun. Their fresh breads are best sellers and most admired. Soon Aaron is planning to introduce Breakfast along with Salads, Sandwiches and Pizzas. Overall it would be very difficult for me to recommend any particular item as everything is top notch as Aaron is.
If you are hanging around Porvorim or Sangolda, do drop by @breakingbread_withaaron and let his magic takeover the rest.
Live bakery is also available and most interestingly Breaking Bread with Aaron was an online class before the cafe came into picture based in Mumbai featuring Aaron style of bakery.

ย ย ย Read moreBaking bread has the best croissants in Goa. I come to Goa often and wanted to have their hot flaky croissant. When i entered, i picked up two croissants and requested the lady at the counter to heat up my croissant in the oven ( which had one deck on at the moment) since i am the owner of a bakery myself and i believe that any puff pastry heats better in the oven rather than a microwave, does not lose its flakiness. The lady just refused without asking in the kitchen. She kept insisting that the croissant is hot, it was fresh but it had cooled down, just wanted it to be heated. Later the oven was turned off by then, i told her that the oven has just been turned off, you could still just put it in, heat it up without even turning the oven on and i would be happy, she still refused. Inspite of having the best croissants, if a small sensible request of a guest isn't being taken care of, it really isn't right. I hadn't asked her to turn on a whole deck just to heat up two croissants, that would be stupid, i asked her to heat up my croissant in an oven that was already heated up. Very disappointed with the service. Wouldn't return because of this...

Firstly, the lady at the counter is the most rudest person ever. The minute we entered she turned her back and started doing something I'm sure wasn't more important than a customer. She's selectively nice whenever she has to be, never hospitable to us though. The food here is average but if the service was good I wouldn't mind going here often if I pass by even though I'm not such a big fan of their items. I ordered for a nice hot tea to soothe my throat and instead got a luke warm milk tea. Definitely not a hot beverage. The steward got the teas to our table and just threw the sachets of sugar and stirrers on the table as well. On leaving the cafe & saying thank you as I paid, I wasn't given any reply by the same lady. Looks like they don't want any business. The littlest of things can put you off if not done right. Hopefully they learn some...
