Cafe Real — Restaurant in Goa

I have all my years and times in Goa had a wonderful experience at Cafe Real, until this morning. This morning I decided to have breakfast as I was in Panjim. I ordered a mix Bhaji, bread, 1 samosa and tea.

For some reason I just could not finish my bhaji ( which was almost the full plate. So I told the server to please pack it for me. While I finished my tea I noticed that the plate of bhaji was still on my table. I requested the server again. After much time the bhaji was cleared from my table as I requested to pack it. The bill was placed on my table for Rs115 which I happily paid.

When I got my change back I received Rs5/- less which I was fine with . However, I noticed that my bhaji which I requested had not been packed. So I walked across the cash counter since there was a family waiting for the table with a child. I asked the person on the cash counter(who is also the owner) has my bhaji been packed and brought from the kitchen. To that he said no...

So, I decided to walk across to the kitchen counter to collect it from there. I saw the server and asked him again about the bhaji I asked him to pack. He just ignored me and gave a deaf ear. I thought he heard me and will pack it after handling what he was doing. But that was not the case, so I asked him again. Have you packed the bhaji or should I leave, to that he turns around and tells me that I am busy. You should ask the other person in the kitchen. I told him I do not like your attitude and the way you are speaking to me and immediately reported the matter to the owner at the cash counter.

This seems all silly, however the point I am looking at making here is that I deserved to be treated like any other customer. I have been a long customer at Cafe real. For one now I will never walk into that restaurant again. The server who mistreated me is one of their oldest staffs. So I fail to understand why have I...

Chai was good in terms of quality and quantity. But one of the worst customer service I ever had. The waiter was so rude and arrogant as he treated us as if we are only ther for passing time and we will try to skip without paying. We were so tired and only went there to get some chai for everyone. As soon as we finished our tea he just rudely mentioned in hindi ho gaya chalo niklo( are you done just leave). I am from hotel industry as well and own an indian restaurant so I know about customer service and its standards. I visited here today. Ordered tomato bhaji pav and chana masala pav along with mirchi and tea. Taste was not so good. It was way below average. Even mirchi was not good, was not as traditional mirchi as we get in local hotels in Goa, was not worth, even taste of the tea was not good.

I used to come here to eat few years back that time it was serving a good food.

If they priced the product so high than it's their responsibility to serve people a tasty food. The only good thing about this restaurant is good place to sit and good ambiance. If you want to eat a tasty food than i won't recommend you this place.
