Great on ambiance, great on food, great on vibe, great on music. Gets a lot of reservation, with no cover to 1 cover turnnover , especially if the live band is #TammyandRoy. So be sure to reserve a seat.
The kismoor, was sungta peri peri was lovely, the cafreal was amazing with black jaggery. Chaunak was fresh.
So we visited Kismoor again on 30th August 2023. Below is the review
Tammy and Roy were still awesome and we enjoyed their music.
The food was still good and taste was all there
The prices have gone up.
Service was very very very very very very poor compared to the standard they had set on my last visit.
To start with the server was on the phone the whole time and paid little attention to his job. He was very distracted when taking order. The first issue cropped up when we were placing our drinks order where one of our choice was unavailable, but we weren't informed of any unavailability beforehand. Then we asked for a classic cocktail old fashion which wasn't on the menu. However after checking if it was possible we placed the order. 20 mins later the sever came back to say to say it wasn't available.
Another issue was plain rum was served instead of a cocktail. And the server insisted that it was the cocktail we had ordered. That shows the lack of product knowledge
The next issue is we had ordered for poees instead of pav, but we were served pav. Again no communication.
Then one dish never came to the table and we discovered the order wasn't placed.
We order for a new order of rum but was served without a mixer and we had to look for a server to ask for a mixer.
The results was the flow was very broken and often there was guests at the table with food or drink in a front of them while they waited for others to receive their food. Or food on the table without an accompanying staple to...
Read moreStepping into the vibrant ambience of Kismoor, you know you're going to have a good time and dig into some great food. The restaurant has a traditional and authentic Goan feel that immediately makes you feel welcome. The service is fast and the staff is very attentive and puts you at ease.
Our meal that day included of:
Prawns Butter Garlic Definitely a chef's special - one of their bestsellers and for good reason. The prawns are succulent, fresh, juicy and doused in a creamy garlic sauce, perfectly complemented by buttered Goan bread and butter garlic rice. Melt-in-the-mouth yummy and a must try!
Butter Chicken Smooth and creamy Butter Chicken, it was flavourful and spiced just right, get some rotis and rice with this one and enjoy.
Chicken Sukha The Chicken Sukha is a thick masala based dish which is dry, spicy and aromatic. It's served on a banana leaf which lends more aroma to it and it's perfect as a side dish with roti or rice.
Prickly Pear and Blue Bee Cocktails Amazing cocktails, be sure to try these. The Prickly Pear is a vodka based cocktail, it's a strong cocktail and tastes like a whiskey sour, if you enjoy those, don't miss this one. The Blue Bee is gin based, it was tangy and hit all the right spots.
Serradura This is one of Goa's favourite desserts, this fluffy and creamy dessert is a crowd favourite and for a reason. No meal outing is complete without Serradura, so be sure to indulge and end the meal perfectly.
All in all, it was a great meal and I would definitely visit here again with family and friends. Highly recommend this place and suggest you to make a reservation if you're a big group as it gets pretty crowded on...
Read moreAfter passing through this restaurant probably 100 of times we decided to check out Kishmoor for dinner on women's day. I had an impression that it would be one / two room small setup but to my surprise they have ample space with swings and multiple seating options. We settled for a table next to the garden. Their were couple of families and I assumed that the place might be crowded during afternoon. The restaurant serves egg, chicken, lamb and of course sea food. It offers coastal cuisine and have interesting choices in its menu. We settled for Cream of Chicken soup (the only soup option that is available with them), Banana Leaf Wrap (Chonak), Cheese Garlic Poi and Taverna style Chicken Lollipop for the starters and Kundapur Ghee Roast with set Dosa for the mail course. We enjoyed all the dishes particularly the Chicken Lollipop and the Poi. The Banana Leaf Wrap was a little bitter (may be the flavour of banana leaf) and a single portion was difficult to finish. Dosa with Chicken was something that we tried for the first time and we found it interesting. The mocktails were on the house for Women guests as a part of the Women's Day celebration. They have live music which adds to the overall experience. Couple of things to note - they have open to air seating options, they do not serve beef or pork, they have a well stocked bar, is very accessible for people of all ages. I would recommend the place for their interesting offerings and settings. Do share a like if you found the review useful as it motivates us to explore more places...
