We recently had the pleasure of visiting The Mill, located at Palolem Beach in Goa, India, and we must say that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the friendly and welcoming owner to the attentive and courteous staff, the restaurant left a lasting impression on us.
Throughout our visit, the staff members were attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist with any questions or recommendations. Their genuine hospitality truly added to our overall dining experience.
Amey and Shyam: Two standout individuals at The Mill were Amey and Shyam. They went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was exceptional. Their friendly and enthusiastic nature made the visit even more enjoyable.
Gluten-free Dark Forest Chocolate Cake: One of the highlights of our meal was the gluten-free chocolate cake. It was simply divine! Moist, rich, and decadent, it melted in our mouths with every bite. The combination of the chocolatey goodness and the gluten-free aspect made it a truly remarkable dessert.
A Plethora of Delights: The Mill offers a wide range of delectable dishes, and we had the opportunity to try a variety of them. The coconut and pineapple curry was bursting with flavor, perfectly balancing the sweetness of the pineapple with the creamy coconut base. The potato wedges were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, accompanied by a tantalizing garlic aioli dip. We also relished the gluten-free burgers, chickpea toast, Juno's incredible coconut gelato, and the hearty lentil stew. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, and the quality of ingredients was evident in every bite.
Unforgettable Potato Wedges: We must make a special mention of the garlicky potato wedges served at The Mill. They were absolutely outstanding! The golden-brown wedges were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The garlic aioli dip elevated the flavor profile, creating a mouthwatering combination that was truly out of this world.
In conclusion, our experience at The Mill in Palolem Beach, Goa, was nothing short of fantastic. The friendly owner and staff, particularly Amey and Shyam, added a personal touch to our dining experience. They left us impressed with the culinary expertise of the restaurant.

Read moreThe Mill is absolutely gorgeous. Quaint little cafe around Palolem/Canacona with really nice staff. It is clean and well accessible.
The menu is well-thought but I am sad to report that the food doesn’t entirely live up to the expectations. Writing a review here because we had given our feedback to the staff and they didn’t take it seriously. I’m hoping the owner of the place is reading this and makes these changes because I really like The Mill and would love to come back.
Lack of salt/seasoning in our burgers and eggs. We ordered the Zanzibar burger with cheddar and fried egg as the toppings. It was a really nicely done burger except for the fact that it completely lacked salt. The garlic aioli it came with also didn’t have any salt in it. We had mentioned this to the staff that it didn’t have salt but they didn’t seem to understand it. In the end we just asked them to add sauce and bring it back which they did. But it didn’t help the cause.
Sriracha eggs. Now I don’t have a problem with this but it was literally just scrambled eggs tossed with sriracha sauce. It needed some salt, some fresh herbs like a spring onion to balance out the pungency of the sauce.
We also had an Oreo smoothie and a spearmint tea, both were decent. The total bill came upto 950 rupees which was alright, but again I would like to eat something more flavourful!
I hope The team at The Mill fixes this, because we do want to come back. Everything was perfectly cooked except for this minor detail with seasoning and lacking basic enjoyable...

This cafe is so much more than a place to eat; it's a destination, flawlessly blending a New Zealand-inspired menu with the rustic, beautiful boho setting of a renovated rice mill. The atmosphere is simply magical—a peaceful, stylish, and comfortable escape.
The moment you step inside, you appreciate the attention to detail. The renovated mill space is stunning, providing a cool and breezy setting. Adding to the charm is the incredibly hospitable staff, who are genuinely warm and attentive, making the entire experience welcoming from start to finish.
For those who prioritize quality drinks, the exceptional coffees here are a major highlight and worth the visit alone. The menu focuses on fresh, healthy, and incredibly flavorful ingredients.
However, the true star of the show was undoubtedly the pancakes. They were, without exaggeration, the best pancakes we have ever had! We ordered Tropical Pancake Stack, the banana & vanilla buckwheat-chickpea flour pancakes, served perfectly golden with a beautiful drizzle of rich date syrup. The combination of textures and the subtle, wholesome sweetness was pure perfection—a must-try for any visitor. We also tried the Cranberry Cold Brew Spritzer, which was unconventionally awesome—a surprisingly refreshing and delicious twist on a coffee beverage.
If you’re seeking a beautiful cozy spot with delicious, wholesome food, a great plant-focused menu, and coffee that rivals the best, The Mill Cafe should be at the very top...
