The Palms is a place to go in Goa if you're looking to enjoy the environment and for a subtle taste, variety of food while not worrying about its quality. We were greeted well by Mr. Vikas whom have offered us a great service and a good discount on the overall bill, if you go after reading this review do remind him of us and I hope he treats you the same.
They offer a buffet and a-la-carte menu, both with quite a few tasteful options. I've opted for dinner buffet where we were offered the following -
Chaat counter Bread and soup counter 3.2 veg preparation with 2 seperate dal 4.Veg biriyani ( it was named something else though) Sweets counter having pastry, fruit crumble and kheer Ice cream counter with jellies and syrups to suit your tastebuds. Pasta and baked vegetable counter with seasonings. Bread and hummus counter 9.salad counter with fresh fruits
It was also having 2 nonveg options, since I haven't tried them can't say much about it.
The best part was dry powder of almost 7-8 types with 3-4 pickle option, all of which was just amazing, a must try.
The bread(naan/roti) was served right on your order and that checked the issue of cold rotis spoiling a continuity of eating, a big requirement when the food is tasty.
The dal, both of them was delicious, one being the tadka and other being spiced and having good amount of garlic was the one we preferred since it is the taste we're familiar with, coupled that with the steam rice and there you have your homely comfort food the dal-chawal.
All in all a must visit if you want to have an upscale highlight to your Goa trip or if budget is not your concern but the food is, or just to have a good romantic evening with your loved ones.
Price- ** Taste-** Ambience-*
P.S.- The charge for dinner buffet was 1000₹ per person +...
Read moreA Truly Terrible Dinner at The Palm's Restaurant
I went to The Palm's Restaurant at the Radisson Blu Goa expecting a great meal, but what I got was a complete disappointment. I ordered the mutton rogan josh because the waiter said it was a good choice. After a long wait, the dish arrived. The mutton was tough, undercooked, and mostly bone. I told the waiter, and he took it away, only to bring it back a few minutes later just as bad as before. I complained again, and this time the chef came to our table. He didn't offer to fix the meal, just a quick "sorry." We were so hungry we had no choice but to try and eat the curry with the terrible meat. When the waiter came back, we showed him all the bones we couldn't eat. The chef returned and made things even worse. He first blamed his meat supplier. Then, he actually said that all the good pieces of mutton were used in other dishes, and we got the leftovers. When I asked why the meat wasn't cooked properly, he tried to tell me that mutton is supposed to be chewy! It was a shocking experience. Don't believe the high ratings for this place. The food is terrible, and the chef has no idea how to cook or treat a customer. Save your money and eat...
Read moreI recently had a very disappointing experience at The Palms restaurant in Radisson, Candolim, Goa. The behavior of one of the staff members, a waitress named Suhini, was shockingly unprofessional and disrespectful toward me and my guests.
She was not only arrogant in her attitude but also blatantly dishonest during our interaction. Instead of handling the situation calmly and professionally, she continued to argue and rant, which made the experience extremely unpleasant. Such conduct is unacceptable, especially at a reputed property like Radisson, where a certain standard of hospitality is expected.
Also when checked about the breakfast buffet over call, they told it is 950rs plus taxes per person but at the time of bill payment they charged us 1500rs plus taxes per person.
This unfortunate incident left a negative impression and significantly impacted the overall experience of our visit. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue to ensure better staff behavior and guest handling...
