So I have had the chance to visit meraki quite a few times and I have always have had a great experience and high regard for their food. I've heard their non vegetarian courses is marvelous as well but I'm a vegetarian so I did not really taste it.
Talking about first impressions, the decor is distinctly chic and à la mode. Just walking inside the door transports you from the hustle of the city to a nice understated and elegant environ.
The food we ordered was again truly appetizing.
We started with the hand pulled noodles soup which was flavorful. For starters we had the hara bhara kebabs, veg wontons and the bell pepper mozzarella parathas and the basil pesto a la penne. The wontons could have been crunchier but still were delectable enough.
For the main course we ordered the baked cheese masala which should not be given a miss. Whenever I'm ordering from Meraki, this is a staple dish which I never miss ordering. It's full of cheese and again topped with a layer of cheese and baked. I know it sounds like maybe it's too much, but I guess there never is a thing such as too much of cheese! And we finished off the course with their highly recommended dum biryani which was just lip smackingly good!
And special brownie points for the best creme brulee of the city. Growing up watching so many seasons of MasterChef, when it comes to creme brulee, I except them to crack and was i delighted to hear the same crack from the creme brulee of meraki. Again, do not miss out on ordering it either.
Also, a special mention to the very humble chef and staff who made sure we knew everything about what we...
Read moreCame to Meraki looking for some good lunch with friends. After reading good and highly rated reviews, we had high expectations from the start. Service wise it was good. Interiors was pretty decent.
But overall food experience was just average. Slightly higher for non veg. Good options for non veg.
Our order was all highly recommended from reviews and expected it to be amazing. We had ordered Hand Pulled noodles soup. It was very good.
For starters we had Galouti chicken, it was lip smacking good. Hara bhara kebab was normal routine kebabs. Bell pepper Mozarella paratha could be made a lot better. It was disappointing. Veg wontons were good too.
For middle course, we had chicken cordon bleu. Was excited to have it since it's not easily available. It was very disappointing and not how it's supposed to be. Well, have given suggestions to the Chef and would be visiting again specially for this. Basil pesto paasta was good.
For main course we had Baked Cheese Masala with rumali roti. It was amazing and has become our favorite now. Loved it.
Overall it was an average dining experience. Would surely be visiting again to see it the high ratings does justice to Meraki.
For now, vadodarafoodbook recommended Galouti chicken, baked cheese masala with...
Read moreIt's difficult for me to rate this place because I had some really mixed experience of too good plus okayish food. According to me it's something above 3 but not 4 but extra points for the staffs. We ordered 1)Thupka (non-veg) soup , it was amazing . Just loved it! Would go and try it once again. 2)Nachos with salsa dipping and sour cream was also luscious. Loved the flavours of salsa and the nachos were tortilla chips which was also good . It was my favourite part 3)They served us Chocolate fondue , though they don't have it in the menu but they will serve for if you ask them . The chocolate sauce was amazing ❤️ and with marshmallows it was Devine ! 4)The mocktail they served was refreshing, l specially like the pulpy thing it had it in. 5)Paneer Kathi roll which was average not something extra ordinary. 6) Grill chicken which was also not bad, but for the price of ₹379 it wouldn't give justice 7)Confit chicken wing was again average 8)Now you need to read this , Avoid trying CHOCOLATE BRULEE. I doubt if one would...
