I usually don’t write reviews, but this experience left me genuinely shocked. From the moment I entered the restaurant, the staff’s behavior was completely unacceptable. I simply asked if I could get a seat in the open area. Instead of a polite response, the staff member spoke very rudely. His tone was aggressive and disrespectful. He didn’t even bother to hear me out. It felt like I was being scolded for making a basic request. As a customer, I expect at least basic courtesy—this was the opposite. There was no greeting, no smile, just a harsh attitude. His words were completely inappropriate and uncalled for. I was honestly stunned for a moment. He looked at me with irritation as if I had asked for something unreasonable. Open seating wasn’t even fully occupied. So, his rude denial made no sense. Even if it wasn’t possible, there are ways to communicate that. Instead, he spoke in a way that made me feel insulted. The tone he used was condescending and arrogant. ⚠ Worst Experience at Shri Maruti Nandan Kathiya wadi – Avoid at All Costs! 🚫

If you’re thinking of eating at Shri Maruti Nandan Kathiya wadi, DON’T! This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Here’s why:

The food was stale, overly oily, and tasted horrible. Even a simple dish like dal was bland and had an odd smell. The paneer was clearly fake—rubbery, chewy, and tasted off.

Shockingly, the sabzi contained Ajinomoto (MSG), which can be harmful to health! It ruined the taste and left an unpleasant aftertaste. If you care about your health, this is NOT the place for you.

The staff behaves arrogantly and treats customers poorly. No respect, no basic manners—just rude responses and terrible service.

The restaurant was dirty, the seating was uncomfortable, and even the plates and cutlery didn’t seem properly washed.

Avoid this place at all costs! There are far better Kathiyawadi restaurants that serve fresh, hygienic food with good service. This place is a complete waste of money and a serious health risk! If negative stars were an option,...

I have visited this Marutinandan restaurant couple of times, and they never changed or improved instead the staff's behavior is rude and completely unprofessional. There are so many mosquitoes inside the dining room, no doubt anyone can get dengue or malaria. There is no protocol of wearing masks at times like these when pandemic is at its peak. Not a single person of the staff was wearing mask, neither they had any hygiene manner to carry the food to the table, no sense of serving it either. The staff will just sit around you and keep talking loudly. Visit this in the afternoon and you'll relate everything from the above review of mine. No politeness in asking for order, also they want to know what you want to order all at once, you can't ask for extra of anything , if you do you'll just hurt the chefs sentiment of resting and banging utensils against each other so loud that you may feel you are at a construction site, no surprise AC wasn't working either.
