Theokaphe — Restaurant in Gujarat

We have been this cafe so many times in last few years but this time we had very bad experience. We ordered the Cappuccino they don’t have coffee machine. They made it like coffee just like people have on street side. My husband just asked how you made this coffee which you called it Cappuccino. The owner lady started shouting with rough tone that this is made of David Off. We said we know David off and we want cappuccino with any beans. She should inform that they don’t have coffee machine instead she was shouting on us and giving us excuses. We had broccoli cheddar soup was ok with very less quantity and their signature garlic bread was pathetic this time also mixed sauce pasta also very tasteless. Even on the Time of Payment , we asked for Digital Payment option again the Owner lady behaviour was very rude like we asked for free food. It felt like insulting. There are very few cafes in this area or even the city which are small in size but serves really good meals. Theokaphe is one of them.

They have really interesting menu or carefully selected one which may not disappoint anyone visiting this place. I personally liked Pumpkin soup, Chinese platter and Ratatouli with herb rice. They also bake bread, cookies, cake and many other bakery items on daily as well as order basis. They also do personalized cakes on order.

This place is very close/behind the Grand Bhagwati and off SG Road. Car parking sometime not available whereas bikes have plenty of parking.

Positive - Interiors. Negatives - Customer is being asked whether a bill is required or not. If a bill is required, additional taxes are to be paid. Flexibility in mode of payment isn't availed. Either you pay in cash or by card. Wallet payments aren't recognised. You buy a cake - you get a cake. In case of takeaway, there is no arrangement for provision of spoon, tissue paper or disposable plates. They don't even provide a carry bag to put cake box in.
