My First Delivery from Ah So Yum

There’s always that one delivery kitchen that everyone seems to be talking about, and for me, it was Ah So Yum. Friends couldn’t stop raving about their pan-Asian offerings—whether it was their Chinese delicacies, Japanese favorites, or eclectic Asian bowls. With so much buzz surrounding them, I figured it was high time I experienced what all the hype was about.

So, this Saturday, I scrolled through their menu and placed an order from their Golf Course Road outlet in Gurgaon. It wasn’t easy narrowing down my choices (because everything looked so good!), but here’s what I went with.

The Arrival: Well-Packaged and Punctual

When the delivery arrived, I was immediately impressed with the packaging. They had clearly put thought into keeping the food fresh, neat, and spill-free, which is always a win in my books. Even after the journey from their kitchen to my doorstep, everything was intact, looking just as appetizing as I had hoped.

Since the food arrived warm but not piping hot, I gave it a quick round in the microwave—and just like that, my Saturday night dinner was ready to devour.

Tasting the Magic

Chicken Gyoza:

These little dumplings were love at first bite. The gyoza had a perfect crispy bottom with a juicy chicken filling that tasted rich and flavorful. Dipping them in the soy-based sauce was pure joy—just the kind of start I needed for my meal.

Chicken Teriyaki Roll:

The sushi rolls had a nice balance of textures and flavors. The teriyaki sauce added a beautiful sweetness that complemented the tender chicken, while the sushi rice was perfectly seasoned. Even as a delivery item, it felt fresh and light.

Orient Fried Rice (Veg):

The fried rice was simple but satisfying. It had that subtle wok-tossed flavor that you expect from good pan-Asian rice dishes. Even though it was vegetarian, the umami from the soy and crunchy vegetables gave it plenty of character.

Mr Chong’s Curry:

This dish was the biggest surprise of the night. The curry was rich, aromatic, and packed with flavor—perfect to pair with the fried rice. The chili basil sauce base with sliced chicken and subtle hints of spices, made it hard to stop eating. This one’s definitely a new favorite!

A Dinner to Remember

Everything about the meal—from the seamless delivery to the well-executed dishes—exceeded my expectations. The thoughtfulness in packaging, the quality of ingredients, and the flavors in each dish made it clear why Ah So Yum has become the talk of the town.

As I polished off the last bite of fried rice, I knew this wouldn’t be the last time I ordered from them. My Saturday night couldn’t have been better! Next time, I’ll probably explore more from their menu—maybe some dim sums or a ramen bowl.

If you love pan-Asian cuisine as much as I do, Ah So Yum is a must-try. This experience was a delightful reminder that sometimes, staying in and ordering great food is the best kind of weekend plan.

Recently ordered from Ah So Yum, and I just say, Ah So YUMMM! While I was craving for Chinese primarily, I ordered the following dishes:

• PANEER IN HOT GARLIC SAUCE: Honestly, I haven't had any better Chinese paneer gravy ever! The paneer was utterly soft and moist and was tossed in a yummy sweet and spicy sauce with loads of capsicums and onions. The gravy had generous garlic and it tasted delicious

• VIRGIN RAINBOW ROLLS: Sushis aren't good of every place you try, but I must say, the sushi I tried here was damn good. One, it look beautiful and two, it was almost near to perfection in taste!

• CHILLI GARLIC NOODLES: One can never go wrong with chilli garlic Noodles! The noodles were unusually thick and tasted really good with the paneer gravy. Spiced perfectly and had a good balance of flavours

AH SO YUM @ Gurgaon has been amazingly consistent with their taste and quality. Great Sushi & rolls, Dim-sums, poke bowls etc.This was the best noodles if you want to taste japanese style food.
