The Grammar Room — Restaurant in Gurugram District

Update: Restaurant replied by saying that they tried to offer us dishes with MSG, they were just salads as per the chef there that day. Surprised by such a response where a restaurant tries to hide sub standard ingredients.

Highly Disappointed with the Lack of Care and Service

I visited Grammer Room with my pregnant wife, expecting a good meal and experience. Unfortunately, we were highly disappointed. We specifically requested food without MSG and Ajinomoto due to my wife’s pregnancy. To our surprise, the staff informed us that all their dishes contain MSG and Ajinomoto, and they couldn’t accommodate a simple request for a meal without it, which is not even harmful in pregnancy but otherwise too!

What made the experience worse was the lack of compassion and empathy shown by the staff. They didn’t even offer my wife a glass of water, let alone show any concern for her condition. The disregard for a pregnant woman’s health and comfort was shocking and unacceptable.

We visited The Grammar Room at 32nd Milestone, Gurgaon, for the second time with family, and it didn’t disappoint. The ambience was relaxed, making it a great spot for a leisurely meal.

We tried the Singapore Tomato Curry with Sticky Rice, the deliciously indulgent Shroom Melt on Sourdough, Calamari, and the fresh, flavorful Burrata & Company with green mangoes, sun-dried tomatoes, and pesto sourdough. We ended on a high note with the Singapore Eton Mess—a delightful mix of balsamic strawberries, pistachio nougat ice cream, black pepper meringue, and strawberry ganache.

Visited recently with high hopes, especially after being allowed to bring my pet indoors during a previous visit. Unfortunately, I was turned away this time despite the extreme heat. It’s 45°C outside, and yet pet in strollers are still being asked to use outdoor sitting. This is not just uncomfortable it’s unsafe. Pets and strollers aren’t disruptive, and many responsible patrons like me ensure they’re clean and well-behaved. What changed in just a few days?
