For anyone visiting Starbucks - Sector 5 outlet, you must insist on a bill and pay attention when they bill you for your order.
We visited this outlet on 16th Feb 24 and ordered a cortado and a cookie, the bill for which was charged at 900 rupees, we didn't pay too much attention at that point since we believe that Starbucks which is a Tata venture in India would uphold the values of integrity and fairness at its core. Given the fact that we just ordered two things and the bill was 900 seemed a little odd to us, however at that time we didn't pay attention.
My friend's visited the same outlet again on 22nd Feb again, and they highlighted the incident which happened the last time around and insisted on the invoice being checked to which the response was the bill couldn't be retrieve as the system does not allow.
They spoke to the manager present there, they also ordered for a small coffee however the person behind the counter billed him for a medium coffee and in his defense he said I showed you the size of the cup (expecting us to be trained on their terminology of small/medium and sizes of the cups)
While they sipped their coffee, the manager informed that the bill raised on 16th Feb was for a three flavored cortado (which to begin with does not exist in their menu and secondly wasn't something we ordered).
Long story short, should you be a Starbucks fan, be careful when you order especially at sector 5 panchkula outlet, insist on a bill and if they show you a cup size for your order despite you mention what you want ask them to put all the cup sizes infront for your reference and then order. I know it sounds mundane and something that one should not have to do in a brand like STARBUCKS, however our experience tells us otherwise. Their service recovery is sadder still.
It is extremely sad to see that a brand like yours is being stopping so low and i think the management needs to carry out an audit of this location, my assumption is there are a lot of discrepancies and pilferages. A lot of bill cancellations would be happening, while the revenue is not taking a hit, your reputation definitely is and the staff is filling...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst off, Iām so glad thereās a Starbucks close to my parentās home. Iāve been getting my caffeine fix here every day since Iāve come. Coffee and food are both great. The place is neat and clean and the staff is courteous. They even serve you table side something unheard of in Starbucks in the US and elsewhere! Only couple issues I have are that firstly they donāt accept the US Starbucks App. Understandable with the exchange rate and all but I love getting my Starbucks points!š The other issue is I have paid different prices for the same beverage 3 different times. I always get a grande Americano and ask for milk on the side. First time the cashier did not charge me for the milk. The next visit Inwas charged INR80 and then the next day INR70!! Milk should come complimentary with an Americano. Still glad this...
