Black Magic Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

The Black Magic has a restaurant on two floors - an improvised one on the ground floor and a proper bar-cum-restaurant on the first floor. I'm sure during the season this place would be jam-packed. Come to Black Magic if you're fine with a bar and food menu that comes with Delhi-like prices . I was attracted to the combos and South Indian food. I preferred sitting on the ground floor where the pricing is lesser than in the bar. The ground floor space seems improvised, lacks character and is zero in ambience. I was hungry and past lunchtime, so I decided to luck it out anyway. I ordered Rajmah Roti and being from Bangalore, a plain dosa. The rajmah and roti should have been nice. Nothing wrong with the taste, but the rajmah was barely three-tablespoons!!! Which made eating extraordinarily difficult. I ended up wasting the good tandoori rotis. The plain dosa looked good and came with white and red chutney and some sambhar. Well, when it came to eating, I couldn't deny how tough the texture was no matter how dosa-starved I felt at that moment. The chutneys and sambhars looked tired and tasted that way too. Must've been yesterday's preparations stored in the fridge. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for casual diners at all. There're far better restaurants and dhabas chock-a-block on Temple Road, Tipa Road and Bhagsu Road instead and they offer...

I and colleagues a team of doctors had a horrible experience here in black magic dance bar. We had amazing experience the day before with mcleodganj Trek and snow line Trek. The people of Himachal and their hospitality was really very good. All this good experiences was just burn into ashes by the local hooligans who pounced on female doctors. They sighted just one male colleague accompanying 3 female doctors to dance bar. Though the dance bar offered bouncers, right in front of us the local hooligans bribing these bouncers for trying to molest the guests of mcleodganj. The management at last gave up saying they are helpless but they didn't drive out such desperate cheapos. Worst place for anyone to visit here. So I'm writing...

If you're going here for food, please don't! We ordered veg sandwich here thinking nothing major could go wrong. It was supposed to have grilled cottage cheese slices among other things as per the menu. When asked about it the server said that the menu is company issued and had nothing to do with what was actually prepared. The sandwiches weren't properly grilled and when we asked to cancel the order the server took and just added plain cottage cheese to the already overloaded sandwiches with mayo. Very disappointed.
