At first glance, this place gave a cute, cozy vibe but it seems like a renovated cellar or parking space with some cute minimalist decor. The seating was very uncomfortable but for the pricing, I guess it was alright. The toilet was super stinky, almost comparable to that of a train's sleeper coach. Coming to the food, we ordered the following: Korean Mandu (Chicken) (3/5) - It was good but a little too sour. Honey Chilli Garlic Ramen (with Katsu Chicken) (2.5/5)- The Katsu Chicken was really good but the rest of the dish was extremely (almost unbearably) spicy even though it was not labelled as damn damn spicy (that's their terminology for the spiciest level). There were no vegetables other than raw onions with the "Ramen". It was just instant noodles with some sauces. Watermelon Mint Juice (with soda) (4/5) - This was nice and refreshing. Just wished it was chilled instead of room temperature. Bang Bang Prawns (0/5) - I was so scared for my stomach after this because I am 99.99% sure that the Prawns they used for this was either super old or spoilt. It was very rubbery and chewy and it tasted kinda spoilt. We took two bites and left the rest. The staff of the place seemed like they could not care any less when we gave them that feedback. Russian Medovik Cake (0/5) - This was the ultimate disappointment. It looked good on the display but when we ordered it, the first red flag was that it was served warm. We saw a piece taken out of the display stand which was sent to the kitchen, I'm guessing to heat it up. I've had this cake loads of times from other places before but never heard of it being served warm. It is supposed to be served chilled. But despite it being warm, we were not able to cut through the cake with the spoon. It was very hard and I'm guessing not fresh too. When we told the staff that Russian Medovik is supposed to be served chilled, they argued and said that no, it is supposed to be like this only. When I disagreed, they said since it was kept in the fridge, it became a little hard so we had to heat it. When I said that it was still hard despite heating it, they didn't say anything. I honestly did not want to pay for the prawns or the cake but I did not have the energy to bargain so we just paid and left. I would definitely not recommend this place to...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences ever. The staff was not unwilling to serve. I went with my cousins after traveling for one hour just to realise that this is one of the worst places to be. The so-called waiter has no idea about any dishes. As the scan code of the menu had no details what so ever of what is being served except the names of the dishes and the pics on them were from internet, I requested what the basic/ main ingredient is and they're not able to answer. When requested a one by two as we wanted to test try and order later, they said they'll not serve 1/2 and asked to do it by self. I requested that as ramen contents might spill which we don't want they just said they'll not.
That's straight up nasty customer service. If the customer is being polite and requesting something (nothing out of the ordinary) they could do it. I've been to multiple restaurants and street food vendors, never was rejected.
To add the cherry on the top. We were seated for more than 20 mins after we placed the order, a different waiter came to us asking why we didn't place an order. I told him we've been waiting for the order as it was already placed. He was extremely rude and said how'd he know if we didn't give him the receipt. Which btw was given to us by the first waiter.
My cousin said it's horrible service and we decided to leave. The people of the restaurant just...
Read moreHere's what's cooking is a simple place done in the basement of a stand alone building, with minimal interiors and no AC - it still does not fail to attract people & that too in great numbers. The place is done in yellow with a black board that has some stuff written over it; inspired from Sodabottleopenerwala. We went in on a weekday, the place seemed congested because it was completely occupied, they have board games to have you glued. There is nothing so fancy about the place yet its a hub! And that they are able to do so because of their prices. I dont think any place of the same stature would have as low pricing as theirs. What does this mean? The cost of two is around 500. We were 3 people and it came around 600! Great right!
Coming down to the food: The chocolate shake in the Mason jar was pretty average for the taste but pretty good for the money you pay. The ice cream reminds you - you got this cheap! Well you cant even complain about it. It justifies the cost. The cold coffee was below average & we could not finish it! The Wala wala chicken was good, but I wish it wasn't as skinny and had a little more meat on it. The noodles were the best of the lot. They tasted best!
I would have given a 4, had my drinks been better. Overall, if you are looking out for a place to hangout over games & pay almost nothing for...
