I had high expectations from this place, but it turned out to be a pathetic experience—partly because of the food, but mostly due to their terrible customer service.
We ordered a Lemon Mojito (₹325) and Prawn Tempura (₹545). When the tempura arrived—my goodness—the taste was so bland that I wondered if they even added appropriate amount of salt. Later, we ordered Chilli Chicken, Paneer (the only dish that was somewhat decent), and a couple of Blue Mojitos.
We also tried the Mairu Special Lamb Shank Soup (₹395), which came in a tiny portion of soup with a large bone and small portion of meat on it. The Chilli Chicken and Paneer arrived late, which I understand to some extent since it was a Sunday evening and probably their peak business hour. But how does a simple Mojito take 25 to 30 minutes?
We were about to leave, and since the Mojitos were delayed, we asked them to cancel the order. The senior waiter responded with an irritated "OK, fine." When he handed over the bill, I asked him to remove the service charges (since we practically had to serve the food ourselves). In irritating tone “Woh bill mein se minus karke payment kar,” and just walked away.
After we paid through Zomato, his response was in a condescending tone "Ha, thik hai.”
If the food isn't good, the service is slow, and this is how you treat your customers, things won’t work well for you in the future. You’ve got to do something better. Utterly disappointed and would never recommend this...
Read moreLunch with foodie friends .. we decided on #MairuBistro based on the reviews and ratings. The cafe is named after a parrot named Mairu. There were a few colorful parrots including 2 colorful macaws. The birds are free to fly around the cafe and posed for pics if they're in the mood 😃.
Coming to the food, We ordered few appetizers along with mock tails.... ♨️Hot pepper Basil Chicken was just about average, and ♨️Phyllo cups Chicken was something unique which we never had before ..it was innovative and tasted pretty good.
Main course food bowls were pretty innovative combos too, and we enjoyed whatever we ordered.. ♨️Thai curry lover Chicken Bowl ♨️Chipotle Chicken lover ♨️Oriental Chichen lover
Finished off with desserts : ♑Biscoff Cheese cake and ♑Caramel custard, which were excellent 👍. And some cappuccino ☕
The Place is serene with lot of greenery around, but what was disappointing was that there are just a handful of tables indoors..By the time we reached the place, all the tables were occupied, and we had to wait in the blistered heat outside, till they arranged a seperate table above the in-house boutique! The silver lining was that we had this space all to ourselves as we had a leisurely lunch! Overall a good day xperience but would not worthy of online rating of 4.9 ... We would give it a 4. The menu is very different and Definitely a place...
Read moreYesterday, I went to this cafe with my friend, just wanting to enjoy some good food and a chill time. But right from the start, it was a disaster. We ordered, and as soon as the food arrived and I took a bite it was horrible. Trust me, I could barely eat it. The taste was so bad, but I forced myself because I hate wasting food. The milkshake? Such a tiny quantity totally not worth the money. And the affogato? Don’t even get me started. It was ridiculously small. Everything was overpriced and underwhelming. Even the rice was hard and tasted terrible — absolute worst quality. By the time I got home, I was in so much pain stomach ache, nausea, the works. I could barely handle it. I even called my friend and asked if he was feeling the same, and yep he was also suffering. We both felt absolutely miserable. To make it worse, I found out that food inspectors had already taken videos of the kitchen because of how unhygienic it is. And judging by what I experienced, I’m sure it’s still disgusting back there. My stomach has been hurting nonstop from last night until this evening. This was the WORST dining experience I’ve ever had terrible food, sky-high prices, tiny portions, and zero hygiene. Never again. I’m not stepping foot in that place for the...
