Valentine’s Day undoubtedly brings out the chocolate lover in all of us, but true chocoholics know that a tour of a chocolate factory or confectioner’s shop can be a memorable part of a trip any time of year. But, have you ever walked through the doors of a little boulangerie & chocolate shop and feel transcended to a place of sheer joy, the quaint settings, the place to gather, the smells of flowing chocolate, the perfect little chocolate treats packaged in the most memorable boxes and bags? Sounds straight out of a dream, right? It is all part of the Parisian chocolate experience.

Well, think no further as Hyderabad & their chocoholics can get their chocolate experience fulfilled at Zuci Chocolates. ZUCI(pronounced as ShuChi — a Sanskrit word meaning pure), the brainchild of Aparna and Chaitanya Gorrepati, started their own artisanal chocolate brand with the motto of putting forward artisanal chocolates that are pure and Divine when offered to the patrons. Moreover, Aparna who is a chocolatier for more than 12 yrs now & trained in Belgium & France from one of the finest institutes, wanted to combine her love and innovation for artisanal chocolate in exotic flavours and the passion for hosting people, the result of which is Zuci Chocolates and Boulangerie, a delightful new outlet with a charming, luxurious décor situated at the upscale, Road 45 Jubilee Hills. Also, one of Aparna or Chaitanya always makes sure that all of their patrons are attended to by asking them about their palate preference. Depending on that, they are offered milk or dark variety, infused with spice, nuts and fruits. We visited this place on a Sunday afternoon for getting some lunch sorted wherein we started off the fare with some finger food & cakes like Carrot Cinnamon cake & Babka, which I will highly recommend whose origin is from Central Europe and is quite popular in Poland. It combines the richness of hazelnut and chocolate, and when warmed slightly melts in your mouth and keeps you coming back for more. Moving on, we got Garlic bread, Potato wedges & Chicken fingers to kick start the spread. No complaints on the wedges or garlic bread as both of them had a great crust/texture, however, the chicken fingers had some chewy meat, which could have been more tender & juicy pieces, however, the dips provided in all'em were really complimenting the entire stuff. Next up, we got some peri-peri chicken sandwich, although they had similar stuffings, but tasted really great; do give this a try from the menu. Onto the mains, I squared up on Chicken Bolognese Lasagna, wherein the meaty sauce, whole-wheat lasagna sheets alternated with meat chunks, creamy bechamel and butter herbs, created an amazing slice of lasagna heaven! Onto the desserts, it was surely a massive spread wherein I was spoilt for choices like Citrus rind cheesecake, Zuci Signature 12 layer Chocolate Cake, Chocolate and Vanilla Pastry, Chocolate Mousse & Hazelnut Choux pastry. The four desserts we tried came with a burst of absolutely different flavours and felt like a treat of not being able to have desserts for quite some time. Personally, I really loved the Citrus Rind Cheesecake & Hazelnut Choux as they were fairly light on the palate yet delectable and absolutely worth digging in (more than once). Made by connoisseurs for connoisseurs, Zuci & their chocolates are made to indulge your palate and satiate your taste buds. Zuci chocolate and café a premium brand for chocolates, cakes, and other Continental cuisines that delivers some extraordinary efforts on the dishes that makes it more appealing and delicious. This café started its operations just before the pandemic lockdown was implemented by the government. This place has unveiled some extraordinary and premium quality of chocolates and it's products. The owner of this place has 12 years of experience as a chocolatier in Belgium carrying forward that legacy to Hyderabad. The place has got a positive vibe which makes you comfortable and peace in mind.

Talking about food:-

Chili Garlic Bread: The garlic bread was nicely flavored and the amount of chili flakes sprinkled where perfect. The mayonnaise that was served along with the dish has a knack to the taste.

Veg Lasagna: It was one of the best Lasagna after ages that made me happy and satisfied. The pasta sheet was perfectly soft and well absorbed the sauce and the mozzarella cheese man it was like heaven feeling I couldn't stop my self with just one bite but had almost half of the dish on my own.

Tendered Chicken Fingers: This dish was one of the star dishes that we have ordered from the menu and it got finished not more than 15 sec. The chicken was nice and juicy from the inside and the out layer was perfectly crisp and the additional masala that was sprinkled on the top was enhancing the entire dish taste.

French Fries: This dish doesn't need any intro as it everyone's favorite from a kid to an adult-like us. What I like about it was the fries were still crunchy and flavorful as it was eaten almost after 45 minutes.

Wraps (Veg & Non-Veg): We had both veg and non-veg wraps were veg wrap has paneer filling and non-veg got chicken. The Paneer wrap was nice as the paneer was soft and well flavored but chicken took the show from it as it was too juicy enough to take a bite as the flavors were dripping out from it.

Chicken Burger: Just before visiting this place I was having a huge craving for a good burger and ordered this beauty from the menu I must say it was quite delicious enough as the chicken patty was well tendered and flavored and the best part was there bun it was nice and soft like freshly out of the oven.

Pesto Chicken Spaghetti Pasta: I have non-healthy relation with pesto sauce it has a strong-flavored herb sauce which I hardly appreciate eating it but my friends have ordered so gave a small try to this dish, and I was quite happy with the flavors as it was not that strong flavors in it rather than a smooth silky texture to it.

Signature Dish/Drink:

Hot chocolate: Zuci is very much famous for its hot chocolate drink as it one of the best drinks in my list had it at a couple of places, and I am a big fan of it now this place also gets featured for this drink.

Desserts:

Caramel Crunchy Nuts Jar: The first bite of this dessert made me to travel in another dimension as the flavors were out bursting in my mouth, and I was enjoying every bite of it

7 Layered Chocolate Mousse Jar: This is something that everyone needs to try if they are big fans of chocolate. Each layer has got its own texture and taste when combined gives an amazing taste.

12 Layer Chocolate Truffle cake slice: One of my favorite cake slice which I never ever wanted to share it with anyone. As this layered cake is made of chocolate truffle which has a strong flavor and texture but here I couldn't find that it is nice and smooth to eat.

Situated at Jubliee Hills, Road No. 45 , Zuci Chocolates has beautiful interiors. As soon as I entered this place, it looked like I entered a world of chocolates.

Zuci, derived from Sanskrit word , " Suchi" meaning pure . This offers a variety of artisanal chocolates, with varied and out of the box combinations and this definitely will leave one startled. What grabbed my eyeballs was the way the chocolates were kept at display and I kept looking at them, trying to control myself not to eat them all because I love chocolates. They even sell freshly baked breads of different varieties which will definitely satisfy your cravings for baked Breads.

Including this , they even have tarts , eclairs, smoothies , dark chocolates , milk chocolates and dessert jars. Apart from this , the savoury items they served were out of the world and I totally loved them.

The items served to us were : Bell Pepper and Olive Focaccia - This tasted super amazing. The bread used was soft and perfect baked. Definitely, a must try. Italian Hot Chocolate - This blew my mind. The hot chocolate was heavenlicious and definitely the best thing I tried post lockdown. 3.Peri Peri French Fries - Loved by everyone, this place has nailed its preparation too. Paneer Tikka Roll - Being a vegetarian, I totally loved this roll and it has the perfect flavors and the right ingredients used. Totally worth a try. Thai Veg Curry with Jasmine Rice - The best I had till date. I totally loved it. The curry had the right flavors and was lip-smacking. Mushroom Quiche- Although I don't like mushrooms much but this was amazing. Just perfect. Brocollis and Olive Pie - This was the best savoury here. The cheesy grating with olives and brocollis were beyond amazing. 12- layer cake slice - One of the most heavenlicious desserts I had here. A must try. Brownies - Tried Caramel , Chocolate fudge , walnut and almond brownies and all them were yummy. My favorite being caramel brownies. Definitely, a must try. Red Velvet Jar - I love Red Velvet and I loved this too. The cream and the cake was beyond perfect. Truffles - Loved them totally. Tried milk truffles, 54% and 70% dark chocolate truffles and they were lip-smacking. Crunchy Caramel Jar - Wowwwwww , delicious and definitely must try.

This place just blew my mind because of the variety of chocolates we get here and definitely the best place from where you can buy chocolates and gift your friends and family. Overall , I had an amazing experience and totally loved the place. A perfect hangout place and would definitely recommend this place to the chocolate...
