History says it wasn’t until the 1800’s that the British looked at coffee for trade purposes and started commercial cultivation all over the WesternGhats. Although the British were known for their tea-drinking culture they set up colonial coffee houses. Since then, India has grown to be the sixth-largest producer of coffee and the second-largest producer of tea. Often there’s this debate if we are a coffee-drinking or tea-drinking nation but let's park that for another day. The rise of the cafe-culture has made coffee trendy and exciting. Local cafes are a place to be and be seen. Good quality coffee is now being appreciated by those with a discerning palate. And to take the concept righteously ahead, Makobrew Coffee Bar, tucked in Jubilee Hills locality, is one such place which hosts almost 100+ variants of coffee concoctions with the beans getting imported from various coffee estate across the world. This place houses a lush green courtyard with an alfresco dining setup with white furnishings overlooking some antique lamp posts or closed cabanas for the ones who love to dine-in amidst interiors. Coming to the menu which has been curated keeping in mind the palate style of existing & uprising urban folks wherein the choice of healthy dishes truly takes an upper hand. From the appetizers, we started off the fare with Paneer Tikka Skewers, spicy yoghurt marinade over paneer & bell pepper with Indian spices was a great pick, grilled till perfection. Next up, Veg Shepherd's Pie carved out with mashed soya chunks to give the perfect meaty texture with a perfect blend of spices evenly cooked and topped with a creamy mash, made this dish an instant hit. Even the Cannelloni prepared from lasagna pasta filled in with sauteed spinach in cream cheese tasted perfect with flavours of spinach & spices coming out evenly. Next up was Chilli Fried Momos, small veg dumplings tossed in a medium heat sauce, giving it an Asian twist; a classic Pan-Asian sauce offering was found even in Mangolian Mushroom as well. From the bread section, Roasted Brocolli Pesto had broccoli tossed with garlic, olives, cheese & pesto sauce spread over bread making it a great dish to munch on along with your coffee concoction. Even their BBQ Paneer Kathi Roll consisting of BBQ Paneer wrapped in tortilla bread served with fries & salad is a great pick for those looking out for a quick snack. From the bowl section, Moroccan spiced Chickpea Buddha bowl truly is a great pick for the fitness enthusiasts out there as ingredients like chickpeas, avocado, broccoli, quinoa rice & carrot made its presence. Continuing the sumptuous spread, from the mains Corn & Spinach rice was served to consist of rice tossed with corn, spinach served with a tangy gravy of Paneer alongside with fries & salad, the creaminess could have been elevated & tanginess needs reduction for the gravy to perfectly blend with the rice. Even Exotic Veg Pizza comprising of bell peppers, mushrooms, broccoli with mozzarella cheese spread over a pizza base had amazing flavours from the veggies & the chefs have done quite a decent job in delivering a great pizza with the veggie toppings being the star here. From the desserts, we got Sweet crepe with Nutella, an evenly cooked crepe filled with Nutella paired up really well with Red Velvet latte/Goth Latte. Also, Lemon Ricotta Pancake is an interesting take wherein the batter had lemon and ricotta cheese in addition to the standard ingredients, served with whip cream & syrup, a recommended pick from the menu. To wind up, Coffee Concoctions like Binge Watch, Berry's Coffee Tail, Sonic Cold Brew were few which were served, again all of these totally depends on your palate style & the amount of caffeine one can consume in a given beverage. Undoubtedly, the brewmaster has done complete justice in spinning up such beautiful caffeine creations. Overall, the entire spread consisted of major hits & fewer misses, some minor tweaks should fix the...

One of the finest coffee bar in town with lush green seating arrangements. This cafe is going to be a big competition to the existing ones, because of such an elaborative menu and the main factor is that- it is run by an amazing range of staffs. starting from the managements to the baristas, everyone is so cool and friendly here. They just go overboard to make your presence more delightful.
Coming to the coffees served here, there were a wide range of coffees served to us. One of my favorite was Vietnamese shakerato which is cold coffee. And the most interesting one which I found is pour-over coffee made with beans from Rwanda, it was made by one their barista, who explained to us step by step while he was making it and he was super friendly too. Other coffees served here were- espresso Bonbon, summer time, Swedish Katfrost, Yuan yung, Iced Red bull espresso(Binge watch), espresso tonic, peanut butter latte & sea salt mocha.
This place serves vegan coffees too, and my favorites being the activated charcoal coffee and blue Spirulina coffee. Not only these looked really beautiful but also really satisfactory to the buds.
Coming to the food served here, My favourites in starters were cheese chilli toast and mozzarella Carrozza. Others served here as starters were- paneer tikka sandwich and roasted broccoli Pesto. These also tasted wonderful. We were served with Caesar salad, it was kind of ok, I felt a bit more of dressing to it would have made a great difference in the taste. The main course served here were all so delicious- Exotic veg pizza- Thin crust pizza with good amount of cheese and vegetables. Creamy Spinach with spaghetti- Oh, my my! I just love this one. Southwest Veggie Quesadillas- I loved these super scrumptious ones. Smokey black bean beetroot burger- This burger was just so unique, the patty being made up of black bean and beetroot. Just, wow! Saffron rice with curry- This was also quite good, being served in a platter, along with salad and spaghetti.
Red velvet pancake served for dessert, was not only appealing to the eyes, but also really delicious in taste. It just had the right amount of sweetness to it.
This place serves all thing veg, so vegetarians, Go check out this place. This place has most;y strong coffees, so strong coffee lovers, what are you waiting for? They are waiting to welcome you.
