Me, my souse and two kids went for Sunday Dinner Buffet (Close to Rs 1600 for 2 using "nearbuy" app).

The staff was humble and welcoming and we really liked the way the staff received us. We enquired about the buffet cost of kids and they said for kids below 6 years there was no charge.

The ambience was great with lot of private space between each table. The entire buffet section was noiseless which we really liked it. We tasted close to 80% of the menu in the span of 1.5 hours and most of the menu items were great.

  1. The 3 types of Salads Apple Salad was good Pineapple Chicken Salad was good Cucumber salad was average.
  2. The 2 types of Soups Chicken soup was average Hot and sour veg soup was good.
  3. The 2 veg starters Paneer was average. Mixed Veg was good.
  4. The 2 Non-Veg starters Chicken kebabs was good Oyster fish was good
  5. Sandwich was good
  6. Welcome drinks The staff offered us to choose from a wide variety of mocktails like Blackcurrent, Strawberry, Mango, etc. which was good. We choose Strawberry juice which was average and Mango was good.
  7. The live counter The staff offered to choose one from a wide variety of Pastas and we chose Schezwan noodles with chicken which was good.
  8. Biryanis Veg biryani was great Non-veg biryani - Chicken biryani was good.
  9. Veg curries The Paneer butter masala was awesome The mixed veg kadai masala was good The Dal fry was good
  10. Non veg curries The Andhra chicken masala gravy was good and the pieces were not so great as the gravy was not fully marinated in the meat and the pieces were giving a tasteless boiled chicken. The fish kolapuri was great
  11. Noodles, Fried rice with Veg and kung pao chicken was good. There were two other options related to Mediterranean fish and Steak which we didn't try.
  12. Tandoori roti was good. The white steamed rice with sambar was good.
  13. 16 types of deserts Double ka meetha was good Rasagulla was great Gajar ka halwa was awesome Yoghurt desert was awesome Sugar free pistacho desert was great Madatha khaja was average(The inner layers were not completely dissolved with sugar syrup). Dry fruit cheki was average and was tasteless Redvelvet pastry was good PineApple pastry was great Chocolate blackforest cake was great Brownie was good Pie was good The simple bread cake was good There were three other types of deserts which we didn't try. There were ice creams as well which we didn't try.
  14. Three types of cut fruits (Water melon, papaya, musk melon) were great except that the papaya piece was not holding in the fork because of the shape of the cut. Bit large Cuboidal shape was recommended for this.

The "nearbuy" app showed Mutton biryani in the inclusions (this was the only reason I booked the buffet and this was bit disappointing for me). But, this was missing in the menu on the day which went and the staff told this would be offered on a different timing.

Hygiene- I saw one fly in the sandwich and salad section and one fly in the seating area and this needs...

Ambiance: The café boasts a modern and welcoming atmosphere with large French windows allowing ample natural light, creating a bright and cheerful setting. The high ceilings add to the spaciousness, making it a comfortable spot for a leisurely lunch.

Buffet Spread: The buffet offers a decent selection, including North Indian, Italian, and Asian cuisines. The salad bar features fresh options like potatoes, broccoli, corn, cherry tomatoes, pasta, onions, and zucchini. In the main course, the naan with butter, vegetable biryani, raita, various curries, and paneer tikkis stand out. Additionally, there's an option to order freshly prepared vegetarian pizza, adding to the variety. Although i would not recommend the Pizza's. The pasta however, you should try. They number of non-veg starters were limited. They had just 2 varieties of fish and 2 of chicken. Fish curry however was excellent.

Desserts: The dessert section is a highlight, featuring Apple Pie crumble, Red Velvet Cake, Creme brulee, Freshly made kalakand, Saffron based oats pudding, and more. Each dessert is crafted to perfection, making it a must-visit spot for those with a sweet tooth.

💡 Tips

Reservations: It's advisable to book a table in advance, especially for weekend brunches, as the place tends to get busy. The seating area is quite small as well.

Offers: District and Swiggy provide 50% off on they lunch and dinner buffets.

Parking: Valet parking is available, adding to the convenience.

Overall Experience MoMo Café offers a good buffet experience with a wide variety of dishes catering to different palates. The combination of a pleasant ambiance, diverse food options, and attentive service makes it a recommendable spot for casual lunch spot. However, if you are looking for a place for a special occasion, you can...

Well the name of the Hotel in itself defines the value of service that you'll get here. Indeed the staff here was good and the ambiance is great. But what I'll be reviewing here is completely my experience with the buffet, which is divided as follows:

Soups and Salads :

Fresh Exotic Vegetable cuts, Sprouts, Chicken Soup was great. I didn't try the veg soup but my friend said it didn't taste well.

Starters :

It included Chicken Tikka, Fish Tikka, Prawns, Harabhara Kebabs, Aloo tikka, Gobi Pakoda, etc. They were all good and we're tasty. I had two rounds of starters.

Live Counter:

Their live counter Pasta will take you to Heaven. Yes it's that good.

Main Course:

Their biryani was very plain, nothing of special sort. The Fish curry(I forgot the name in specific was finger licking). They had one mixed veg stuff which was covered with Cheese which was so yum that you don't feel like eating anything else(at least I didn't). Other things that were on the menu were two types of Daal, two three kinds of Rice, few veg and non-veg curries. Didn't explore much, since I was craving for desserts.

Desserts:

Well this section was the show maker and breaker as well. The things that I liked were Mango Cake, Bengali Sweets, Carrot Burfi. Red velvet cake disappointed me, it was not comparatively good but was edible. They had other puddings, tarts, etc. The most disappointing thing at the end were their ice creams. Even though they had plain flavors, but still when tasted, they didn't feel fresh at all. It was like they served us from an expired stock.

My overall experience with the MoMo...

Great ambience with old world charm, Went for lavish lunch buffet on Saturday. For Rs. 460/-(Nearbuy) Mistakenly went to Marriott, but staff guided well and ushered me through second floor interconnection leading to Courtyard.k True luxury, now a days we are missing such ambience and luxury. Both Marriott and Courtyard are great. Momo cafe is at the ground level. Hand cloth was given in the place of tissues. Tall ceiling, Mr Akshay was waiting on me. Floor manager is Mr Malli. Both were excellent and helpful. Started with Chicken soup and chicken tikka and veg starters, Chicken tikka was excellent, only catch is it is not boneless. I had two servings. Then had Chilli chicken and Paneer curry with 2 butter naans. Very good.By then I was half filled. Then had Chicken biryani even that was great. Then had curd rice which was way too cold. Then Fruit salad all fruits were fine. The papaya was fullyl ripe and sweet. Last but not the least had, coconut barfi and Basundi. Finger bowl was summoned at the end. I give full 5 star rating as I can't give more.
