My first visit to this restaurant was about 7 years ago. The food was so good that every visit to Hyderabad I have been telling my family about visiting this place. So happy to do it today. The beija fry that I had 7 years ago was still fresh in my mind and that is the first dish that we ordered today. We decided to go with the special palamaru grill platter that included prawns, chicken, fish and mutton plus rotis and dal. This is easily filling for 3 to 4 people. We also ordered paneer kabab and mushroom kabobs for the vegetarians on our table. This test ed on par with a non-vegetarian kebabs.
The menu is so vast that we will need a few more visits to complete our bucket list items from the menu.
The service is excellent and it's almost like the service staff have been trained by experts. As you enter the restaurant everyone is so welcoming and they have seating down two floors. They will clear the plates and give you fresh plates after the appetizer. The charcoal grill seems to cook the food just about right. The spices are extremely tasty except for people like me. Medium is good enough. I also judge restaurants by the quality of their bread and Palamaru grill. The roti was extremely soft in texture. Another gauge for me is the amount of attention paid to the table and in this case the wait staff anticipated every need and quickly serviced us.
This restaurant does not serve beer but has soft drinks. The secret of the restaurant seemed to be in the charcoal grill that the meats are cooked on the timing, the taste make a difference to The taste.

We visited Palamuru Grill around 4:30 PM after calling ahead to confirm food availability. Despite that, the service left much to be desired. When we asked the waiter (Mr. Srinu) for food suggestions, he seemed disinterested and offered no help. The food arrived quickly, but the experience went downhill from there.
🥘 Food Quality:
Pulav: Tasted good and was the only saving grace of the meal.
Biryani: A major disappointment. The rice was overcooked, the chicken piece was over-boiled, and the flavor was completely missing. Easily one of the worst biryanis I’ve had in the past five years.
We still finished the food—because “Dabbulu Voorike Raavu”—but the quality was unacceptable for a place that claims to serve authentic cuisine.
🧼 Hygiene & Service: After the meal, we asked for a finger bowl and were told to use the handwash area instead. All four of us went to wash our hands. When we returned to pay the bill, we noticed finger bowls being served to other tables. On asking why we weren’t provided one earlier, the staff casually said, “Just now we got free, so we’re giving them now.” This was just five minutes after Mr. Srinu had refused to serve us.
I raised the issue with the manager downstairs, but instead of listening, he shouted from his table and took no action. That level of indifference was frustrating and unacceptable.
