Horrible turned to a HAPPY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. Edit: Had a difficult experience which I have detailed below and posted this review but PaPaYa immediately addressed it after this review. The General Manager and Executive Chef themselves came down from the restaurant to our residence which is 6km away. The importance given to customer feedback is appreciable. They had arrived with a complimentary food package to apologise. But since I feel deleting the review would be unfair for the public in general, it is below. But know that this was a one off experience and not the norm because of the effort put in by the team to address the issue. I have updated the rating to a 4 star accordingly. The food taste was absolutely top notch.
Original review: Waited 2hrs, left with no food !!!! Had an extremely horrible horrible horrible experience. they are promoting their hotpot but not providing it accurately. ordered a half-n-half hot pot, 1 half veg 1 half non-veg for a date experience where one of us is a vegetarian and another non-vegetarian. The restaurant promised it, made us wait for 1.5 hrs. order was taken by the Captain Rajesh. then after 30min steward Mintu came and asked if we will be ok to take the hotpot on a coal base instead of induction but did not mention that half-n-half hot pot is not possible on a coal base. We had explicitly asked about the difference between a induction base and coal base and they said there's no difference. then 30min later came and asked if he can do the veg one first on coal base then cook the non-veg one and serve it. who in their right mind would like to eat separately during a date ? and we came for an experience and ready to pay premium amount for it. only reason we were misled was because another group came later than us and the ONLY INDUCTION was given to them and we were made to wait for so long and still not provided what was promised. by this time we had already ordered other items and consumed it. the Restaurant Manager Rehan came and promised to look into a solution but failed to do so and we waited some more. so in total we waited for 2hrs in total, DID NOT EAT what we had come to eat and left after paying for 2 dishes we did not want to eat but ordered because we were made to wait for 2 hrs. horrible horrible horrible experience. extremely frustrating and waste of money. do not promise service that you cannot provide. the money being charged is not minimal and we had no problem paying it because a certain service is expected. Rajesh, Mintu, Rehan were extremely incapable in their handling of...

Pa Pa Ya is a feast for the senses. The contemporary, chic decor creates a vibrant atmosphere perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion. The open kitchen adds a touch of excitement as you watch the culinary magic unfold.
Food: Our culinary journey at Pa Pa Ya was an absolute delight. Let’s start with the appetizers. The chicken gyoza was a perfect balance of textures - tender and juicy on the inside, with a crispy exterior. The spicy prawn tempura was a delightful explosion of flavors, with a perfectly crispy exterior and a succulent shrimp within.
The main courses were equally impressive. The spicy red dragon roll was a visual and tastebud masterpiece. The combination of prawn tempura, salmon, avocado, and spicy mayo created a symphony of flavors in every bite. The katsu chicken ramen was a comforting bowl of goodness, with tender chicken, rich broth, and perfectly cooked noodles. The seafood pad Thai was a classic done right, with a tantalizing blend of flavors and textures.
For dessert, we indulged in the Shibuya honey toast, a happy treat. The warm, buttery crispy bread, topped with creamy vanilla ice cream, and a burst of fresh berries was the perfect ending to our meal.
And then there was the Teppan chicken rice. Watching the chef expertly prepare the dish right in front of us was an entertaining culinary experience. The chicken and veggies was cooked to perfection, and the rice was flavorful and satisfying.
Overall, Pa Pa Ya is a must-visit for anyone who loves Asian cuisine. The exceptional food, coupled with the stylish ambiance, make it a truly unforgettable...
Read moreAttended the foodie event at Papaya today with a fairly unexplored cuisine which is Pan-Asian. The menu was extensive for the price and I knew I woudnt be able to try all the dishes. However, as mush as I could try, below is my experience. The amushbush presented was passable at the least. Watermelon with foam on it presented itself good but with no sweetness in the watermelon, the start didn't hit the mark. The mocktails were well made. The spicy delight did delight with its spiceness. My fav however was white island which warranted another refill..! The veg sushi were very well done with the sticky rice. However, the chicken ones weren't and in my opinion, fried chicken based sushi should not be in the menu as it seems like a forced entry. Dimsums on the other hand were good, both veg and non veg. They were served piping hot and had flavours in them. Ramen again had its hits and misses. Having fried chicken in ramen just makes the chicken soggy and it ends up losing its crunch. The taste overall was good though. In the mains, veg Thai green curry and rice was a showstopper in my opinion. The chicken rendang curry was made in a rush and it showed evidently. Reason being that the chicken pieces were dropped in the gravy last minute and served which did not give any time for the curry to get soaked in the pieces which left me with a very raw chicken to eat. Didn't try the desserts and the tepinyaki this time. Service was good as the folks were doing their absolute best to cater to us on a very busy Sunday afternoon. Overall, I'd rate this place 3/5 and would come back only for a glass of mocktail and sushi...
