TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!

I visited this place with my family. This place is located on the 1st floor of the building. We went there for dinner. We ordered a mushroom dish in starters, which was served. Right after that, we ordered mushroom palav. The waiter told us that their Mushroom stock is over so kindly order something else. Then we ordered jowar ki roti, that was also not there. We gave it a shot for bamboo chicken, and guess what? That was also not there.

Let's talk about the food, service and prices:

STARTERS:

  1. Baby corn Manchurian: Taste was okayish. They can go a little bit easy on the spices. 2)Miryala Puttagodugala Vepudu (Mushroom pepper fry): Mushrooms were tasting bland. The spices were not able to overpower making the raw taste of mushrooms the USP, which wasn't pleasent, AT ALL. 3)Seema Kodi: This was nice but we got a FISH PIECE in a CHICKEN STARTER. Wow. 4)RR special Kodi: Again, the chicken was tasting bland. The spices were just there for the crispiness.

MAIN COURSE:

1)Naatu Kodi Pulav(country chicken Pulav): This was expectionally well.😻 Loved every bit of it. The chicken was perfectly cooked. It was juicy, flavourful and tender. The rice tasted amazing. 2)Andhra Kodi Dum Biryani: Can't believe they screwed up the biryani. It tasted so bad. I couldn't eat it. The tastes of spices were so overpowering. There was no flavour, the spices were there just for the sake of being there. This has probably become my least favourite biryani in Hyderabad. 3) Telangana Veg Thali: This was so bad. Out of so many items, I only like plain rice, daal, aloo subzi and curd.

The service time was very high. We had to wait for every dish for about 5-10mins even after ordering in the beginning. The waiter and the manager were polite until they came to our table and rudely said that thali cannot be shared. Given the fact that almost everyone of us were full because we ordered enough non veg dishes. Veg thali was ordered for my vegetarian family member. Also, given the fact that we knew that thalis ain't supposed to be shared. It did made us furious but we asked them politely, "if a person is not able to finish the thali you're okay with throwing the food but not okay with sharing or packing the food?!" They said "YES!". Honestly, I was taken aback. This is absolutely not the way you talk to your customers. And just so you know, the thali was so bad, if given a chance, we would have cancelled our order, let alone sharing.

This place is very expensive and isn't even offering good food. The water bottle which is 19 INR as per the MRP costed 44 INR there!

I went with alot of hopes. I had a very, very, very disappointing experience. I really hope they improve their service and, most importantly, the food...

Rayalaseema Gem That Went Above and Beyond

On the night of May 27th, after a long day at the hospital, we stepped into Rayalaseema Ruchulu Ameerpet Branch, in heavy rain and starving, around 10:30 PM—just before closing—and what followed was an experience beyond anything we could have expected. Despite the late hour, the staff didn’t just serve us—they went out of their way to make sure we were fed with care and excellence.

A special shoutout to Venkat Reddy for his patience, and to the manager Prasad, who personally went into the kitchen to prepare fresh chapathi and naan to meet our dietary needs. The portions were generous, the flavors unforgettable: the crispy Paneer 65 was perfectly spiced, the Paneer Kadhai and Mixed Veg Curry were rich and flavorful, and the Ragi Sangati with Ulavacharu—a true Rayalaseema delicacy—was simply divine. So much so that we took leftovers home and enjoyed them the next day.

The warmth and pride in service was evident. From Prasad to the wonderful server, every member of the team displayed a rare work ethic. Ice cream at the end sealed the meal beautifully.

As visitors from the U.S., this meal became one of the highlights of our trip to Hyderabad. Founder Uttam Reddy should be incredibly proud—this isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a place of heart, hospitality, and heritage. Can't wait to try the Talli on...

If you’re craving authentic Andhra cuisine with bold flavors and a touch of tradition, Rayalaseema Ruchulu in Ameerpet is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you step in, the warm and welcoming ambiance sets the tone for a satisfying dining experience.

We tried the Raju Gari Bhojanam thali, and it was a delightful explosion of flavors. Each item was rich, perfectly spiced, and reminiscent of true Rayalaseema home-style cooking. The spicy natukodi (country chicken) curry and gongura mutton stood out – both cooked to perfection with the right amount of heat and authenticity. The pappu, rasam, and curd rice rounded out the meal beautifully.

Portions are generous, and the staff is courteous and attentive without being intrusive. They’re more than happy to explain the dishes if you’re unfamiliar with the regional flavors. The cleanliness and service standards are consistently high, which is always a plus.

Overall, Rayalaseema Ruchulu delivers an exceptional culinary experience that honors the rich food traditions of Andhra and Rayalaseema. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a hearty, spicy, and truly satisfying South...
