I recently had the opportunity to dine at Saffron Soul Restaurant with my friends. We were all very impressed with the food, the service, and the overall experience.
We started our meal with the live counter selection, which included paneer chilly, veg shami kabab, mutton chops, and fish. All of the dishes were cooked to perfection and were absolutely delicious. The paneer chilly was particularly flavorful, and the mutton chops were melt-in-your-mouth tender.
For our main course, we tried a variety of dishes, . All of the dishes were cooked perfectly and were very flavorful.
For dessert, we tried the the ras malai, the coffee-based desserts, the ice creams, and the international fruit salad. All of the desserts were delicious. The coffee-based desserts were also very good, and the ice creams were refreshing. The international fruit salad was a nice change of pace, and the raspberry was a delicious addition.

Saffron Soul restaurant is located inside the Marigold Hotel, but finding it is a challenge for first-time visitors as there is no proper signboard. It feels like solving a puzzle just to locate the place.
I visited Saffron Soul and booked a buffet, but the experience was disappointing. The variety of dishes was very limited. The only Italian dish was a mixed vegetable pasta, and the only rice option was a bland chicken pulao with no spice. The starters included just three items: fish fry, chicken fry, and paneer. They also had a Mongolian stall, but the dishes were unimpressive.
One of the worst items I tried was the lamb herb dish – the meat was frozen and so tough it felt like chewing rubber. The desserts section looked extensive, but most items lacked taste. Only three desserts were decent, and the ice cream was the worst I’ve ever had – clearly made from some low-quality, local brand.
Regarding the cost, the buffet for two was priced at ₹3,894, which is exorbitant. I had booked the table through the EazyDiner app, which showed a price of ₹2,500 for two with a 50% discount. However, when we arrived, the restaurant staff initially claimed they had no tie-up with EazyDiner, despite the receptionist accepting our booking. After some back-and-forth, they eventually gave us a 50% discount, reducing the bill to ₹1,947.
Key takeaway: If you’re booking through an app, always confirm directly with the restaurant to avoid such confusion.
In summary, the buffet had limited options, was overpriced, and the food quality was inconsistent. While a few dishes were good, the overall experience did not justify the cost. I wouldn’t recommend it unless significant...
Read morePerfect monsoon evening while we were craving for pasta , swiped down Zomato and suddenly realised saffron soul is on my bookmark since a long time for buffet. But wanted to their alacarte this time due to the reason it’s very near and they are tied up with Zomato gold. So quickly made a visit. This is just beside the green park hotels Begumpet.
An exquisite decor welcomes you. Right opp to the entey is where u fInd the saffron soul buffet which is priced around 1300₹ approx with a live counter. So I quickly had a word with manager and got my Zomato gold membership verified and ordered for basil pesto pasta , fish and chips. Both were good and could satiate my pasta cravings. While I had a glimpse of the buffet around I found the karivepaku kodi and some fish starter very interesting. Looking at me staring at these the on floor manager offered me to taste which were fantabulous. If I have to go back I am sure going for it .
Over all it was a well spent evening over food and nice conversation around with the serving stag and chef in the live counter. The attentiveness to the customer (Atleast the attention I got) is pretty well maintained.
