OYO Athithi Inn Near Hyderabad Central — Hotel in Hyderabad

I have booked the Hotel Atithi (OYO 11316 Athithi inn). for 03.06.2019 to 04.06.2019 week before before the actual check in date as i was travelling from Mumbai to Hyderabad.

i have set the check-in time in the hotel between 9:00 pm to 12:00 am. As my flight from Mumbai was in evening to Hyderabad.

When i reached at the Venue on 03.06.2019 night 10.45 pm

he asked my name and details ,,,the moment he came to know the hotel is booked under OYO discount he stated your booking as been cancelled.

I asked him how come it got cancelled.?Immediately i check in the OYO App there the booking was showing confirm still.

he started arguing we have informed OYO through Mail that booking under your name as been cancelled.

i said him why no update from your hotel side or OYO regarding the same..? as at 11:00pm night where shall i got as i don't know the regional language as well.

he said that is not our problem you call to OYO customer and speak we are not resposible for the same, he was so rude started talking in regional language purposely as he don't know Hindi and English.

almost for 1:30 hours we argued on the issue, i requested him atleast give me the room i am travelling since last 12 hours need to get fresh,,,, in mrg we can speak on the issue. he denied.

i was having my branch in hyderabad called my branch head at the venue due to issue.

Later, my branch head started talking to him in regional language to give us the room.

he than agreed and given room but asked me to Pay 949 as cash instead of booking value of 799/- i asked him shall i pay through OYO he denied and asked me to pay in cash immediately if you want room,i paid to him on the spot by cash.

i have selected the Deluxe Room and the room was provide to me was pathetic it was smelling the moment i entered.

there was no Nob on the wall TAP for Water.

i called to reception for hot water, he said hot water will not come at this time,

i said him here there is no nob on tap to get even normal water he started laughing and said will arrange in 20 mins for the same...

whole night nobody turned up, as i was tired thought to have bath in mrg and slept.

at night i got call around 2 am, the moment i picked up the call got disconnected, again at 3.30am i rec call again same the moment i picked up it got disconnected, at mrg 7.30am i rec a call the person said sorry by mistake i dialled your number.

Later, im mrg at 8:00 am called to the reception for the hot water/soap etc,,, same answer will reach in your room after 20 mins...

Nobody turned up at 8:30,,, he said its on the way, also asked for breakfast timing he said you will get between 8.30 to 9.00am

after waiting later i finalised not the stay here for even 1 min here and left.

At reception i complained to the girl for the same she said the person is new kindly forgive him, i discussed all incident to her but the approach of her was very neutral.

the same guy who attended me at night,

i said him about it, shown pics of Nob and Chair he also found to be neutral, strange was that he started talking in hindi with me where as the same person was talking in regional language at night.

He said what ever is your issue said and he given me the Visiting card of someone and said me you speak to him we are not responsible for the same,

i asked him for the breakfast its 9.00am..? you where suppose to serve me between 8.30 to 9.00 he said its not ready yet will take time.

i was totally surprised with there service.

Guest was not served with drinking water or bathing water.

called multiple time at night to harassed.

No soap or anything provided which are very basic necessities.

In morning not even provided breakfast and they where no sorry or shameful for same.

THE WORST hotel experience I have had till date!!!! Oh believe me, being in sales job, wherein I spend nearly 35% of my travelling to various places I have had my share of bad / poorly maintained hotels. This hotel is not just poorly maintained but the staff (whatever skeletal staff they run on!) have also decided to move out I guess. No water - be it regular or mineral water (even if you want to pay they'll tell you that they have run out of stock) The taps are broken / swinging. The toilet seat is also broken. The flush does not work, but there is always water leaking in the closet! The bath tub is damaged from underneath and is bulging in various places, making the uneven surface dangerous to have a shower. Twice they committed that they will change my room, but they act surprised when you call them again asking on an update. In a PREMIUM ROOM, wherein they have centralized AC the window cannot be closed. Making it even worse, the room is road facing!! Wall sockets, wallpaper, even the wardrobe handles are broken giving it a dilapidated look. The food is decent but if you go out to wash your hands, there is a urine stench, giving you the worst nightmares about how the kitchen is maintained. I booked because price was low and from pictures / other reviews I thought it is good place to stay. After reaching I realized it just good in pictures.

After reaching I told that I have booking and lady started telling they do not have any room. It took a while for staff to make understand that I have fully paid booking. After reaching room I realized very dirty. No phone in room and had to call reception using cellphone. Bucket was damaged and not clean. Tap did not handle and other taps has rust on it. Linen was dirty and seemed not changed in few months. Cockroaches were everywhere. All the restaurants in hotel are closed. They didn't even had glass / spoon. No free water / Wi-Fi was available. I had to purchase water bottles, which had limited stock. Lifts was not operational half of the times, I had to climb 3 floors every time.
