Located just beside the famous Giant Rameshwaram Cafe, this is a mid sized beautifully made pure vegetarian restaurant run by two food enthusiasts Jatin & Robbie.
As I entered the premises I saw a senior member coming out of the restaurant and searching for an ATM machine. Another foodie friend who was standing at the reception then informed me the restaurant does not have QR for UPI payments and neither are they accepting card payments, which I completely failed to understand how & why.
Coming to the food: ➡️ Starting with the Mocktails. "TAMARIND MARGARITA" was what they were supposed to serve but instead they served a Lemonade over powered with sugar syrup which was a big let down.
Second Mocktail was: Spicy Guava Fizz: This tasted like Regular readymade Guava Syrup diluted in soda which completely lacked the Fizz. I had to get my drink customised with added masalas and then I could enjoy the drink.
➡️Food: Kofta Zartari: I enjoyed this dish, the flavour hit the right spots on my taste buds.
Bhindi Singhada: This dish failed to satisfy my taste buds. I would pass this.
Classic Dal Tadka: This was good and comforting just like we make at home.
Tawa Veg Biryani: This was what restaurant was supposed to serve but instead we got to a regular Veg Dum Biryani, it tasted good but I was actually looking forward to taste a nice spicy Tawa Biryani.
Kimchi Veg Fried Rice: This dish again Failed to impress my taste buds. It lacked the basic Kimchi flavours, thus the dish did not justify the name.
Galouti Kebabs: Smoked, Spiced and perfectly melt in mouth. I enjoyed this Starter.
Puff Pastry Pizza: We were served 2 varieties of this dish one was Chettinad another was Palak Paneer. I absolutely loved the Palak Paneer one which was very well done.
Breads: Service of the breads was so slow as if they wanted us to eat less and get up mid way.
➡️ Deserts: This part annoyed me the most. The deserts (4-5 varieties) were served only in 2 tables I think. I literally had to ask them for deserts 4 times then he brought one Turkish Milk cake with an attitude of doing me a favour. Again that Milk Cake was a let down. 👎🏻
Now coming to the service. I humbly request the management to train their staff with good hospitality standards. The whole staff lacked coordination. They were busy chitchatting with each other rather than serving us. I hope the management takes these things seriously if they really want to survive in this highly competitive...

On a bustling Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was a hive of activity, yet it managed to deliver exemplary service. Despite the heavy rush, the staff’s attentiveness and the swift procession of dishes from the kitchen were remarkable. The decor, with its verdant green theme and creatively designed ceilings, offers a visual feast, enhancing the calming ambiance. This, combined with the cozy feel, creates an appealing vibe that welcomes diners into a world of refined pleasure. The culinary voyage began with innovative starters like the crisp Karara Paneer and the intriguing Burmese Potli, alongside the sumptuous Mushroom Galauti, each served in an inviting manner and bursting with flavors. The Cream of Broccoli Soup was a revelation, its rich and velvety texture a perfect preamble to the diverse main course. Even the routine delights such as Crispy Corn and Manchuria were elevated to a sublime level, tantalizing the taste buds with their impeccable preparation. The thin-crust pizza and Indian Sizzler further showcased the kitchen's prowess, offering a satisfying crunch and a melange of spices, respectively. Sorrel’s mocktail repertoire, extensive and imaginative, featured a Spicy Guava concoction that was particularly captivating. Such beverages added a refreshing zest to the meal, marrying well with the diverse flavors on offer. The pricing, moderately on the higher side, finds its vindication in the restaurant's superior ambience, culinary innovation, generous portions, and sterling service. The cleanliness and the fragrant aura of Sorrel spoke volumes of its commitment to hygiene and customer experience. Additionally, the separate cafeteria space adds a quaint charm, providing a more casual yet equally inviting dining environment.
In sum, Sorrel stands as a paragon of culinary excellence and hospitality, making it an indispensable gem in Madhapur’s gastronomic landscape. A visit here promises not just a meal, but a memorable experience that beckons...
Read moreWanted to try this new restaurant that had opened up. We called and reserved seat for 2 at 8:45PM. We were there on time and when we went they told their restaurant seating has been filled which was not expected by us then whats the point of reservation. They asked us to wait for 5mins. We didn't have a problem then. Later they asked us to sit in their cafe area, we had a problem with that because when there was live music going on in the restaurant why would we sit in the cafe zone which was empty with no vibe. We politely declined and waited. Then they got a small cafe table(cafe tables can't be used for dinners), we were like fine okay we will sit but please move us to a proper table we will order till then. There were 3 tables empty behind us right from the start and later on 2 more tables got vacant. When we asked them to shift us there they were not ready to. They were saying it is reserved. But no idea what happened to our reservation. I think cause we were just 2 no one was entertaining us.
One of the manager there wasn't even ready to speak to us. When we were sharing our problem he just went away to another cusotmer who were already seated(His words were why can't you adjust). We order 2 dish the first dish itself took maximum table space. We literally had to hold plates in our hand.
The owner was right there he was seeing all this happening but didn't ever bother to care. Never saw a owner of a restaurant behaving like this. When I asked the manager to please call your owner(manager confirmed that he was the owner) so we can share our horrible experience he didn't even come and speak which is the minimum which he could do.
It was already 9:20 30ish by then and the experience which we had was so not done we just walked out the restaurant. I guess will never ever visit this place again. Never even had this...
