"Udipi's Upahar" in Anjaiah Nagar is our cherished spot for a traditional South Indian feast, where every visit is a culinary celebration. We kickstart our lunch ritual with a robust ginger tea and my wife's beloved mirchi bhajji, setting the tone for a flavorful experience.
The Haryali Paneer Tikka never fails to impress, a timeless classic that delights the palate. The Ghee Masala Dosa is a star of the menu, paired with my wife's all-time favorite Tomato Onion Uttapam, a symphony of flavors that lingers in our memories.
The charm of Udipi's Upahar extends beyond the delectable dishes to the welcoming atmosphere. Waiting in the queue for the AC Eating Hall becomes a pleasant experience, thanks to the affable D. S. Lokare Saab, who adds a personal touch to the visit. His playful banter, especially when managing our seating preferences, brings a smile to our faces.
Gautam, our Captain, deserves special mention for his impeccable service. Despite the bustling atmosphere, he takes the time to share his insights on the menu and ensures our courses are served with perfect timing, creating a harmonious and enjoyable dining experience.
Udipi's Upahar is not just a restaurant; it's a cultural and culinary journey that we eagerly embark on, knowing that each visit promises warm hospitality, delightful food, and memorable moments. Hats off to Lokare Saab, Gautam, and the entire team for consistently...
Read moreThis is my worst experience ever with any restaurant. I went to Udupi last weekend in the morning and was extremely tired as i was coming after doing night shift so i kept my head on the table and was sleeping. Manager uncle who is actually very old came to my table and knocked on my table rudely saying you can't sleep in here. It was extremely disrespectful to a customer. But i ignored considering his age. 2nd Instance that happened today when i visited Udupi and bought tea and the cashier literally stopped me from taking a table as i bought tea from the outer stall of Udupi and their so called rule is that you need to pay service charges if you want to drink tea on your table. I told him that i bought it from outside stall because his other employee said not to take a table as they are cleaning and anyways I will ordering other stuff after taking a table....even after telling this the cashier kept arguing with me..and asked me to drink my tea outside only.
WORST RESTAURANT EVER....I am literally never going back to this place and will suggest...
Read moreI recently visited Udipi’s Restaurant and had a wonderful South Indian dining experience. The food was fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. I tried the Tomato Onion Uttapam and Idli, and both were truly impressive. The Tomato Onion Uttapam was soft yet slightly crisp on the edges, loaded with finely chopped onions and fresh tomatoes that added a nice tangy sweetness. It was served hot with a generous portion of coconut chutney and sambar, both perfectly spiced and aromatic. The Idlis were equally delightful—soft, fluffy, and served steaming hot. They melted in the mouth and paired beautifully with the chutneys. The sambar had just the right balance of spices and lentil flavor, adding warmth and depth to each bite. The service was quick and courteous, and the staff made sure everything was served fresh. The restaurant has a clean, welcoming ambiance with a calm South Indian vibe, perfect for a...
