I recently had the pleasure of dining at Udipi's Upahar in Kondapur, and I must say it was a delightful experience. As a vegetarian restaurant specializing in South Indian cuisine, Udipi's Upahar offers a diverse menu that caters to different tastes and preferences.

Instead of asking customers to take the situation as isolated better improve your service. As I mentioned providing good food is not enough maintaining some dignified service and being honest to customers also matters. Atleast did you try to check with your staff about this situation ?? Dear customers please review your bills and parcels before leaving restuarant... My experience -- Today visited the store for parcel. Made me wait for almost 20 min and said no upma available for upma pesaratu. I ask them to change the bill and get my parcel soon. The so called manager (guy with neck band)simply took bill from my hands. Came back after sometime and ask me to collect new bill from counter. After 30 min long waiting went to counter to collect my new bill. Here starts the drama, the two guys in the counter try to cheat me saying pasratu and upma pesratu both are of same price (how funny this is 😀) Also can't change the bill. When I ask them to show the price for Normal pasratu they dont have answer coz the menu itself don't have price for normal pasartu. They were looking at each other face to show the prices , is this the way udipi is cheating customers ? Later they returned 12 rs for me and took bill from my hands. Not ready to give me new bill. This is another cheating. After going home when I checked the parcel one item missing again I came to restuarant to ask for it they denied that's not true and they handed over all. When I called guy who parcelled my pack he said he gave me only one plate idly instead of two. This is another cheating finally the staff shamelessly apologize me for all.

This is the standard of udipi upahar with low grade staff and manager. It's not about 12rs or one plate idly missing , o want to say how they are cheating customers.

Whats the use of having tasty food ? No loyality and dignity.

11/8/2023 Everything was chaotic today and the food preparation was not up to the mark. Upma, which tastes the best, was awful today with the salt amount in it seemingly higher. Vegetable Biriyani served was cold and the rice in it was excessively fried, thereby making it unhealthy. Biriyani also had small pebbles in it, meaning the vegetables like carrots were possibly not washed properly. The only saving grace was juice. Both sapota and mosambi juices were awesome. The workers as always are the best here, humble and service-oriented. I am downgrading my overall rating for this outlet from 5 to 3 stars, with the food rating slashed to 3 stars for bad food preparation. I will upgrade the rating once I see improvements.

Earlier Reviews: Don't know how Udipi's Upahar makes Upma. The more I eat it's upma, the more I feel like eating. Generally, I start my dinner with upma, followed by Roti and curry. But today, I had upma to be followed by only upma. What I loved about it is not just the taste, but the low salt volume in it, making the dish healthier to consume. Such delectable preparation could be possible only in Udipi's Upahar in Kondapur.

Update: If you love South Indian tiffin and meals, you can't afford to miss Udipi's Upahar Kondapur. It's an outlet where the law of diminishing marginal utility doesn't apply. The more you go there, the more you would love its preparations. The prices look competitive & high, but they match the quality and taste. It's one of my most favorite hotels.

This is the outlet in Hyderabad I love dining with my family. My two kids go berserk when they come here. They love Roti and paneer butter Masala. I like all the south Indian delicacies available here. The tomato bath served here is just awesome. The people working here have a sweet and humble demeanor.
