“A Hidden Gem for Mutton Lovers”
Nestled just off the main road, Tawook is the kind of place that feels like a discovery—a hidden gem where you immediately feel at home. During my recent visit, I tried the mutton biryani and mutton changezi, and I can say without exaggeration that the flavors were out of this world! The preparation was exceptionally neat and clean, and every bite felt thoughtfully crafted. The mutton was tender, bursting with authentic spices, and prepared with a level of care that’s often rare to find.
While the service can sometimes be a bit laid-back, there’s a comforting familiarity when Uncle and Auntie, who seem to be the owners, are around. They take care of you as if you were one of their own, making you feel like family. This personalized warmth turned an already delightful meal into one of the sweetest dining experiences I’ve had. It’s a feeling that brings me back, and I’ve already ordered from them twice since my first visit! The mutton biryani has become a favorite in our family, especially for my father, who’s quite particular about his biryani.
Tawook doesn’t pretend to be a high-end restaurant, yet it’s far from your typical local spot. The place is clean, cozy, and perfectly positioned—close to the main road but still offering a peaceful dining environment. It’s simple and unpretentious, with a homely atmosphere that complements the comfort of Indian dishes so well.
If you’re in search of great Indian food, especially mutton dishes, Tawook is the place to go. The flavors, the warmth, and the overall experience make it a must-visit. Highly...

Read moreExcellent Food. A must go place.
Gone twice at the new place on Sardar Patel Marg, twin cafe with the recently opened Lampost. Food is wonderful, portions are huge. The Shami kebabs, the various mutton preparations in the main course, Nihari, Korma, Stew and the Biryani. Gilauti, which used to be good, has been discontinued as people in Jaipur were not consuming it and they had to give it away, as mutton perishes fast.
Except that some of the oil perhaps could be removed from the kebabs, by placing them on paper towels, or just use less oil. The curries could have been spicier, maybe we should have told them, that we like mutton which is spicy, garam masala hot.
They also have Lebanese food.
Desserts were limited. Shared with lampost, the Brownies were great but chocolate cheese cake slice, was a poor expression of what it should be.
Service is good. Seating is simple, love the wrought iron, wooden...
