Pros: Food was good and delicious Outlet is accessible by lift Easy to Locate Spacious sitting arrangement Elaborate menu of selection Relaxed Ambience Suitable for Family/couples/small gathering Decent Pricing Payment and billing is quick Dinner slots are usually crowded so prefer this place for lunch, if possible
Cons: Some chicken items may be overcooked Lift may not be accessible all the time No Parking charges (since it's on the roadside, so parking at owners risk) Personally recommended for weekends (not because it's weekend but you would need enough time to sit and wait for orders to be served on table - it may take 30-45mins for some orders to appear on the table, even if everything was ordered at once) Appetite Killer (well if you are a foodie, not just someone who eats regular meals but really like to try out multiple options and have some nice speed to maintain your appetite - welcome to Moti Mahal. Their service is so slow that it would kill your appetite and zeal to be a foodie, just after a drink and soup) Lacks customized service (The Staff has same approach to go about any table order i.e. slow and one by one. They do not care or try to understand that a table of 5 will consume a portion much faster than a table of 2, and thus they could better serve multiple items at one on larger orders but NO, they will go with one order at a time, make you wait for another 10-15 minutes and then serve you another one and it goes on like this.
Here you Go: This Saturday, visited this outlet with family. My order contained following items and everything was ordered at once: Fresh Lime Soda - Okay Mango Lassi - Good Chicken Hot & Sour - Delicious Drums of Heaven - Yummy Dragon Chicken - Good (little overcooked) Chicken Mussalam - Good Keema Naan - Delicious Butter Naan - Amazingly soft Pan Fried Noodles Chicken - Good Chicken Bhuna Masala - Okay (overcooked)
Overall, the food was good and quite satisfying except a couple of them ( as indicated) and thus I will take out 1 star for the overcooked food menus. The major drawback was table service and coordination between kitchen and service staff, which resulted in me declaring them as Appetite Killer. Dragon Chicken being an started was not served on the table for more than 35 minutes after placing the order and was served just 10 minutes before the main course arrived - overall it was a mess on the service end by not realizing which item should follow the Menu course. Indicating servers are not clear about the courses and how they are lined up in service flow, if ordered. So 1 star is being taken out for the bad service coordination, overall.
My rating - 3 Star (Overall) Food - 4 Star Service - 3.5 Star
Recommendation: Keema Naan was super delicious and with Chicken Musallam, the flavour is just wow. Drums of Heaven was delicious (even though I still think that was Chicken lollipop but they insisted that it was drums of heaven, so let it be)
I would surely not come back to this outlet unless, I have a huge crowd to dine with and I am the one to pay the bill. Not because I like it that much but because of this place being the Appetite Killer. The crowd will be done with some items, I just need to ensure that I do not order all at once but one by one (or else I need to get everything parceled at the end). Nice place, good Ambience, quite subtle climate but service sucks and I don't like...
Read moreNote for North Indian food lovers, the food is Pathetic. Other than ambience there is nothing to write about. If you are from north then dont expect anything more than roadside taste we get in Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh. Original Moti Mahal of Delhi is famous for north indian veg and non-veg cuisine but this is just a licensee of Moti mahal. Black daal or Daal Makhni is very blend and insipid. In fact the management seem to be serving their own version of Daal Makhni with yellow daal mixed in Daal Makhani. Naan is basically a longish Poori version; so dont expect the soft and crunchy butter naan of north. I also ordered a Mutton Dum Biryaani but what they served was a 'Masala Biryani' full of unwanted spices and too salty. They dont even know what is a proper Dum cooked Biryani and insisted they are serving real stuff. Worst of all, when you point out the wrong taste/cooking they snub you saying 'it is only you who is complaining because 100 others here are so happy with our food'. So I was told that because only I am complaining out of 100 people it is actually me who do not know the real taste of Dum Biryani. I left the table after few spoons because of horrible and unauthentic taste but they did not care or even offer me to not pay so I ended up paying for things I didn't eat even. They are basically catering only to the locals who dont know the authentic taste of many of north dishes served here and they don't seem to have any complain. Ignorance is bliss. It is true in this case.
PS: In response to the so called feedback. I reconfirm the whole idea of pulling wool over the eyes of people who actually complain about the food item not being authentic. I am very much aware of difference between pulao biryani vs masla biryani vs a real dum biryani. I very much paid for the things I did not eat. Kindly...
Read moreGreat food and ambiance but the managment needs to take better care of guests. During last visit the place was extremely noisy to the point of deafening due to birthday celebration with kids (was evident). However the managment was least bothered while every single guest inside was visibly annoyed and irritated. Will surely have second thoughts before visiting again. A restaurant where one eats with peace seemed like a circus with a noisy bunch.
@Response to your reply - Firstly, the celebration was quite evident but thanks for point out once again. Secondly, the reference was not to kids but their misplaced behavior which was hardly appropriate of a restaurant. Not like all this happened in a closed space but the very loudness of the whole incident was invading everyone's personal space to the point that one cannot hear others at their own table. Lastly, what I found A BIT HARSH was all this gave my mom a headache.
You need to be respectful of everyone's privacy who stops by your place. It was an...
