The moment you enter this place, you'd think it's a decent place to have lunch or dinner with your family and friends. But it all falls apart the moment any of the waiters open their mouth. They're rude, don't care much about the customers and when it's closing time, this behavior of theirs goes on overdrive.
If you think the menu had a limited amount of items on it, they surprise you with a "that item isn't available" response or the all-time favorite "the kitchen is closing"
We ordered chicken biryani, mutton biryani and jeera rice. "Why?", you might ask, scratching your head thinking "who would eat chicken and mutton in Mangalore of all places?". Well, my friend, you might want to consider the price. The prawns biryani is 500Rs, for example. None of the seafood items are affordable, unless you're Ambani or Jeff Bezos's illegitimate child.
The prices would be justified if the food tasted good. Guess what? You'll find better tasting food on road side stands.
All-in-all, please go here only if you've either had a concussion and you've impaired your cognitive abilities OR if you've found a ton of money on the road and you really want to blow it all out on useless...
Read moreOur recent lunch visit to the vegetarian section of Kudla Restaurant presented a mixed bag.
The Hot and Sour soup was just okay, unfortunately being too spicy for our liking, which wasn't what we expected. On the brighter side, the Crispy Paneer Fry was good. However, the Schezwan Veg Fried Rice was a major disappointment; it wasn't hot or even warm, had hardly any vegetables, and was very dry. This item truly let us down.
A significant concern was the lack of hygiene. We encountered numerous flies around our table, which constantly bothered us and detracted from what we hoped would be a pleasant meal. We spent a good part of our time trying to shoo them away.
On the positive side, the staff provided good service, and the restaurant offers a reasonable amount of vegetarian options. The pricing seems fair.
Parking can be a bit challenging as the restaurant is located at a busy junction.
While there are many vegetarian options and good service, the issues with the fried rice and especially the hygiene (flies) make us think twice before...
Read moreWe had a great evening here. We were a group of 5 people went here for an evening hangout. We were in fact walking towards another 3 star hotel nearby. We saw this restaurant on the way. The flashy outlook of the restaurant was attractive. They have both veg and non veg options there. As we were vegetarians, we ordered Cream of Mushroom Soup, Tomato Soup, Bhel Puri, Pani Puri, Paneer Masala Dosa, Normal Dosa, Ghee Dosa, Roasted Sandwiches, French Fries (Finger Chips), Paneer Roast, Grape Juice and Soda Lime Juice. We shared these items among us and to be frank all of the items were good. Because of personal taste differences, I didn't like a few flavors in it, like the sweetness of Sambar, and Bhel Puri. I liked Pani Puri. The Paneer roast was wonderful. Prices are reasonable. They have a relatively cleaner bathroom. The AC temperature was very low though. We were kinda freezing. The waiter was very polite and friendly. Over-all, it was a...
