I had a very disappointing experience with this sweet shop. I had booked 120 small boxes of sweets, along with packing charges, and paid the full amount in advance for distribution among my office colleagues.
After two days, when I went to collect the parcel, the owner was again not present (earlier he was always available, but in my last three visits I haven’t seen him). Since I was in a hurry, I trusted the brand name Mansukhlal Mithaiwala and didn’t check the parcel. But when I opened it in my office, to my shock, the sweets were not packed in boxes as promised, but in cheap plastic packets.
I immediately called the shop, and the staff admitted it was a mistake, assuring me that the money would be adjusted in my next visit. After two days, I went back and explained everything to the owner. At first, he denied that such a mistake could ever happen at Mansukhlal. Only when his staff admitted the truth did he reluctantly apologize, saying, “Sometimes it happens, sir, very rare. Come again, it won’t happen next time.”
I told him these sweets were meant for some dignified people, and plastic packets looked cheap. But he brushed it off casually. When I asked for a refund of the packing charges, he initially refused, claiming boxes are “complimentary.” Later, when the staff confirmed they had indeed charged me, he shifted blame, saying customers should ask for complimentary boxes. Clearly, the staff were charging customers on his instructions, while he pretended ignorance.
On top of that, I picked up a packet of peanuts from the counter. The MRP printed was ₹80, but I was charged ₹90, with the excuse that “rates had increased.” They hadn’t even updated the printed MRP. Worse, when we opened the packet at home, the peanuts were spoiled and stale, with no manufacturing or packing date mentioned.
Overall, this was a terrible experience with a reputed brand. I lost trust completely in this shop’s honesty and quality. I will never visit Mansukhlal Mithaiwala again, and I strongly advise others to be very cautious before...
Read moreI modified my review & made 1 star after reply from owner taking no accountability but whitewashing the issue.
It is not about my expectations. It is about bad quality worm infested stale tasting cashews & it is sad such people aren't punished in india.
I am uploading pic as you reply was fake Find the worm in the pics at left bottom of pic.
I had purchased 3 packs of pre packed dry fruit boxes(2-500g & 1-250 g) alongwith sweets (1kg Rs 1300 & 0.5 Rs 700/ kg ) from here.
I took items worth 3,470 on Nov 22 at 8:57 am.
I took from this shop after my sister suggested me to take from here.
I opened the 250 g packed dry fruit box & The Cashew tasted stale. Badam & kishmish tasted normal. No complaints here.
When the dry fruit box from here is relatively a lot costlier (2X wholesale) than normal good quality dry fruits on a per kg basis, one should get atleast good quality fresh dry fruits if not premium fresh dry fruits.
The reason for 2 star is that I had already gifted one 500 g dry fruit pack to the ethical & good gynecologist doctor who ensured our beautiful baby came info this world.
Luckily, I didn't gift the other 500 g dry fruit pack to the competent & famous pediatrician who also happens to be a neonatalogist.
I am afraid that even the sweets that tasted good from your shop may have artifical unhealthy flavors etc
Quality alongwith healthy ingredients...
Read moreI tried rasmalai, which is one of my favourites. It's too yum to handle. That was one of the best rasmalai I ever ate. Place is located at an ideal place. Sunday morning is kickass here, you get all kinds of gujrathi breakfast such as Dhokla, Faafda, Khandvi and many more gujrathi dishes. This place accepts all kinds of cards. An coming down to price its not highly priced. But the money you pay is worth. For special sweets its better than other sweet vendors around. I prefer to have a badam drink whenever i am here. If you feel my review is helpful hit that like. Happy...
