During our brief stay in Mangalore, we decided to try some Mexican cheese french fries from McDonald's on Sunday afternoon, priced at 135Rs. Unfortunately, after consuming the fries around 3 o'clock, both my friend and I experienced severe discomfort. My friend began vomiting, with five episodes in total, while I had multiple trips to the restroom with unpleasant outcomes. Initially, we didn't associate our condition with the fried potatoes. Prior to that, we just had breakfast (idli and chutney) at Poonja International, where we were staying.
As our symptoms worsened, my friend became bedridden and I started feeling unwell too. Recognizing the need for immediate action, we decided to return to Moodabidri around 8 pm. The journey was challenging, as I also experienced vomiting, expelling all remnants of the fries. The subsequent night was incredibly difficult for both of us, and we are still recovering from the ordeal. While I have started feeling better after four days, my friend continues to face severe diarrhoea and watery stools.
Why do such big companies like McDonald's compromise with quality and hygiene! Why do they fool people. Is money more important than health.! Really pathetic.
Given our experience, I would advise others not to try McDonald's. Such a...
Read morePlease do take some of the cash when you go to this outlet because they do not accept cards. This was really disappointment. Then I ordered for Mc Maharaja Burger but again I was disappointed to hear that they so not have bun!!! Then I ordered something else... Taste wise no complaints at all... The service was also really quick. The 3rd thing that disappointed me the most was, when I was really enjoying my meal and I also had to look after my little sister so that she doesn't make any mess, one of their staff comes to me and asks me for the feedback. I responded saying that I would surely do it after my meal but she kept asking me for my phone and told me that she would do it herself. Whats the point of feedback then? If you yourself are doing it. This was so irritating. Please take care that such things would not repeat further. The softie was not like how it used to be earlier. The vanila flavor was very much light in the softie. The cone in which it is served is also not that good. It melts very soon. Hope that I would not end up in disappointment when I visit here...
Read moreThis was the first time i tried McDonalds and I was pleasantly surprised. I visited at around 9:30pm on a Friday and it wasn't very crowded. The staff at the counter was really helpful. I tried their McMaharaja meal with a fried chicken as an add-on. The McMaharaja Mac is definitely worth the hype although it can get a big messy as it is pretty big. The fried chicken however wasn't as good (as KFC). That is understandable as Mcdonalds is known for their burgers and not fried chicken.
I have to write this about a staff member here who served me the food. He was short and had a mallu accent. He was so sweet and friendly. It was a pleasure just to watch him work. You can tell that he really enjoys his work. Even when he's cleaning up the tables, he does it in such a way that shows that he loves his job. He is so active and energetic while doing his job and definitely deserves a raise!
Although i really enjoyed my time here, I'm only giving 4 stars because the food is definitely not healthy and also not...
