This is the best home cooked food in gokarna and that too at a very reasonable price. We had our dinner multiple times here during our stay at gokarna. We tried veg and fish thalis like bangda and kingfish. You must try their bangda thali which is best. The aunty in home serves herself and the service is good. They have their kirana shop so you can get chilled water bottles or soft drinks as well. For payment they have both options like cash and online as well. The taste is so good that you can also find foreigners here. We tried bangda thali which was just 100 rs and kingfish thali at 300 rs and veg at 80 rs. Went to this place based on reviews hoping this would turn out to be a hidden gem. The place seemed popular with foreign tourists, probably because the food was not very spicy. It does have the rustic ambience of a typical home restaurant in a small town. The fish meals were decent but below expectations. The fish didn’t seem so fresh, and the marination was probably not done for long enough as the fish lacked flavor inside. Would come here for a regular meal, but not to find excellent fish meals or anything...

We ordered following items as takeaways: Chicken Thali: Chicken kebab was not up to the mark, cold and had a bad after taste. Fish gravy was given with chicken thali, which is not okay at all! Some people do not eat fish but consume chicken. 👎 Fish Thali: Very Good. Fresh Mackerel fry and curry. 👍 Veg Thali: Stale in taste. Should not have been ordered! 👎
