We paid 700 for veg/non-veg buffet for a team party of ten. Reached around 12:45 PM and we were the only people there till 2:00 PM. Fairly clean, I was immediately intrigued by the music that was playing. I did not expect to hear Metallica's Master of Puppets playing in a restaurant like this. (I'm all for metal, but seemed a little out of place here). The staff was very courteous and welcoming. They brought us Veg Soup as part of the buffet and that's when it started going downhill. Calling it vegetable broth was a travesty as there were no vegetables and it was clear as day. It was just salted water with a hint of masala or something and a few cucumbers sliced in. Everybody hated it and we couldn't even finish half of it. The non-veg soup was better and did not receive a lot of complaints. Next they brought in some entree's - aloo tikki was pretty good but the paneer chilli was abysmal and could have been easily replaced by a rubber or an eraser. I personally loved the pulao and dal - I was able to fill up on that. The veg garlic chilli noodles was decent too. But my colleagues hated the non-veg spread. Unfortunately I cannot go into details there as I didn't have it myself. I liked a few of the salads too but there were fruit flies flying around it and that made me think twice before taking it. Finally, the sweets were disappointing - all of them.
I have to press how courteous the staff was because they tried to make it up to us and offered to make a starter that we liked. Unfortunately, naivete and optimism drove us to ask for paneer tikka. What we got was chewy erasers again. Service was cheerful but the...
Read moreLocated on Ground floor of Golden Tulip hotel. Had breakfast & dinner buffet here during my office tour stay.
The ambiance is good and like a 5 star hotel.
The breakfast is good. They have variety of options in breakfast - pancakes, Idli, chicken sausages, salami, fish tikka, cut fruits, bread and many more. Variety of options for vegetarian & non vegetarian both. Foodies who love to have a big breakfast will not be disappointed. On the other hand service was a little slow. Omelette which I had ordered on table arrived after 15 mins. They don't serve filter coffee being located in Bangalore, kind of broke my heart. I love filter coffee in this city.
Dinner was average and not much options in chicken & mutton. Also, a tourist who stays in hitel expects few traditional dishes like chicken sukka which is famous of Karnataka, was missing.
Overall recommended for breakfast...
Read moreThis is a restaurant which is attached to hotel. Ambience is good but food is just average we had buffet dinner over there and it's not worth the money. Not many varieties and food was not cooked properly. In starters they served paneer tikka and okra paneer tikka was completely under cooked and felt like it was rubber. Soup was horrible. Dal n rice was highlight and noodles was good. Not many options in desserts.
Only plus point about this place is it's ambience and it's...
