Alibaba's Disappointing Culinary Journey
My recent dining experience at Alibaba left much to be desired. The restaurant, known for its diverse cuisine, fell short of expectations with several dishes that failed to impress. Allow me to take you through my culinary journey, dish by dish, as I encountered a range of flavors and textures, both delightful and disappointing.
To begin, I opted for the sweet corn chicken soup. Unfortunately, the initial impression was far from satisfactory. The soup arrived at the table thick and slimy, which immediately raised concerns about its quality. Regrettably, my suspicions were confirmed as I discovered that the chicken in the soup was not fresh. This lack of freshness significantly detracted from the overall enjoyment of the dish and left me yearning for a more appetizing start to my meal.
Moving on to the Turkish salad, I was relieved to find a silver lining amidst the disappointment. The salad itself was well-prepared, boasting a vibrant assortment of fresh vegetables that added a burst of color to the plate. The accompanying bread was a delightful surprise, exhibiting a soft and fresh texture that perfectly complemented the flavors of the salad. This particular combination was a redeeming aspect of my dining experience, providing a brief respite from the underwhelming dishes that preceded it.
Finally, I eagerly awaited the arrival of the chicken tikka, a popular choice known for its rich flavors and succulent texture. However, my anticipation was met with a letdown. Despite the restaurant's promise of prompt service, the chicken tikka was served within a mere ten minutes, and it was disappointingly cold. This blatant lack of freshness significantly impacted the dish, rendering it lackluster and failing to capture the true essence of this beloved culinary delight.
Considering the entirety of my experience, I cannot help but express my disappointment with Alibaba. While the Turkish salad and accompanying bread were commendable, they were overshadowed by the flaws in the sweet corn chicken soup and chicken tikka. The slimy texture and lack of freshness in the soup, as well as the cold and uninspiring chicken tikka, left a lasting impression of subpar quality.
As a patron, I had hoped for a memorable dining experience that would reflect the restaurant's reputation for diverse cuisine. Unfortunately, Alibaba failed to live up to its accolades. I sincerely hope that the management takes these shortcomings into consideration and endeavors to improve the quality and consistency of their dishes. Until then, I regretfully cannot recommend Alibaba for a truly satisfying...

Read moreDisappointing Experience at Alibaba and 41 Dishes My recent visit to Alibaba and 41 Dishes in Angamaly was a letdown. Our waiter, Ranganathan, took our orders for a group of five. We specifically ordered the fish chatty curry, which we were told would cost Rs 420. However, when the bill arrived, the amount had mysteriously increased to Rs 820.
To make matters worse, the dish was stale and unpalatable. This experience was particularly disappointing, given that we had been looking forward to a enjoyable meal.
The restaurant's ambiance was underwhelming, with dull lighting and uncomfortable seating. The decor seemed outdated and uninviting.
The food was a major disappointment. In addition to the overpriced and stale fish chatty curry, we also ordered Thenga Paal Kozhi Curry. Unfortunately, both dishes were subpar. The chicken was overcooked.
The service was slow, inattentive, and, in our case, dishonest. Our server seemed overwhelmed, and it took an inordinate amount of time to place our orders and receive our food.
Considering the poor quality of food and service, Alibaba and 41 Dishes is overpriced. There are better options available in Angamaly that offer more value for your money. My experience at Alibaba and 41 Dishes was extremely disappointing. With subpar food, poor service, and an uninviting atmosphere, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
