Ambiswamys Vegetarian Restaurant — Restaurant in Kerala

I saw the reviews on the internet and went to the restaurant. Honestly, I was not so happy about what I got. First of all, I had to wait for a long time at a table before I found out we had to order at the reception. The restaurant was not much crowded. Still no one helped me by telling me where to order, not even the receptionist who passed by my table thrice, to whom I jestured what I should do. Then regarding the food, I ordered tomato uttapam, a kesari and a tea. The uttapam was just average nothing more than 2.5/5. Kesari, I did not like at all, may because I loved the kesari at A2B restaurants before, this one was really hard and I got some hard fibres from within. It's just 1.5/5. The tea was fine. The table I got was dusty and no one cared to mop it properly even though the cleaning person was looking for tables to clean. Another thing I should say is regarding the water. They brought me a glass of water after spending half an hour there. The person with tray passed by me several times. Either he didn't see me or he didn't bother. I recently visited Ambiswamy's veg. restaurant located near Kadavanthara junction and was quite disappointed with the quality of their food and service. Despite having enjoyed their food in the past, this time around, the ghee roast had a sour taste. Additionally, the coconut and tomato chutneys served with the dosa were stale and emitted a foul smell. When I brought this to the waiter's attention, there was no response from their end.

Furthermore, they also informed us that they were unable to prepare items (fresh lime), which was listed on the menu (after waiting for 10 mins for the same).

On the positive side, the coffee was well-made and served piping hot.

However, it was not enough to make up for the unpleasant experience we had with the rest of the food and service. As someone who had high expectations from Ambiswamy's, I am disappointed with the decline in their food quality and customer service. I urge the management to take steps to improve the same. These people should be struck out and delisted from all delivery partners books for non compliance of delivery norms of not sealing packets with tape to prevent tampering and not supplying items ordered fully, always short of orders. Most of the time if we order two sets of items they send across only one,which is downright cheating and embarrassing.Nobody complains because no use wasting time for a small amount and we let it go but they are taking advantage of the situation wherein a small amount from one person into multiple orders from many a day figure out to big amount gain for them. I wish the manager and workers there be prosecuted for this fraud as I know this is a deliberate tactic running years,because I am experiencing it many times in similar fashion. Initially I suspected the delivery boys stealing but that is not the case they deliberately do not tape the packets so as to divert suspicion onto the delivery boys.
