Attracted to this place from a Name board "ചായ പീടിക"....I Expected a Platform like usual Tea stalls(it looks same) where we order and pay bills with the same vendor.
But the Ordering and Billing Process is a Complex Procedure here.. They have an Open Samovar and Snacks Bar Facing Open towards the Footpath.. Thats a Good idea where a layman walking through the street can easily order and get their പലഹാരം and tea inhand by just standing in that footpath.. Looks like a Quite Simple way of ordinary life...
But the Problem is that.. For every order we have to walk inside the Restaurant and Approach the Main Billing Section to approve the order and get it pre Billed.
Then we have to produce it return to the TeaStall area...
Eg: First we order a Tea+Baji... Prebilled... Return... Delivered... If we think of another Snack or Vada... We Again need to Que back to the Main Billing area... Prebilled... Return.. Delivery...
This is so time consuming and fatigue for a person like me who came there to quench my appetite..
I Suggest You to: Introduce a Seperate Billing Counter for that Tea Stall Area.. Only for People Approaching from Footpath...
Make that Crew in TeaStall Area more Customer friendly and approachable.. (Allot a Person to Mind the Customer approaching through Footpath)...
Need to be More Customer Centric..
Nb: All my Experiences in this review is purely based on Experience gained from Teal Stall Area which i Approached from Footpath. Thanks and...
Read moreMy recent dining experience at Anna Bhavan, located at Ayurvedha College Junction, was average overall. I decided to try their masala dosa, and while it was decent, it didn't particularly stand out. The dosa had an okay texture, but the flavors were not as robust as I had hoped. The filling lacked the desired depth of spices, making it a bit underwhelming.
The curries served alongside the dosa were satisfactory, but nothing exceptional. They provided some variety, but I found them to be lacking in distinct flavors. While they complemented the dosa adequately, they didn't leave a lasting impression.
The ambiance at Anna Bhavan was good. The seating arrangements were comfortable enough. The service was decent, although it took a bit longer than expected to receive our orders. On the positive side, I appreciated the cleanliness of the wash area and washroom.
In terms of accessibility, the restaurant was easily reachable, but the fact that they only offer street parking was a minor inconvenience.
In conclusion, Anna Bhavan provided an average dining experience. While the masala dosa and curries were decent, they didn't excel in terms of flavor. The ambiance was average, the service could have been more efficient, and the parking situation was a drawback. If you're in the area and looking for a quick and simple meal, Anna Bhavan could be an option, but it may not leave a lasting impression compared to other dining...
Read morePoor customer service. Less waiters. They don't respond or mind us until we call them after waiting for some time. They themselves seemed unhappy working there that they do best to care us. No water served till halfway when we had to ask for it. No one asked whether we needed something more. We had to wait for the appearance of waiters.
Food: Just okay. Nothing bad nothing good. Just another hotel with general taste but high price. One masala dosa cost me 84/-. Cost benefit is very low.
Instead of spending too much on the LED lights outside, they should have spent enough for a cook and more waiters.
Good location, but poor management.
In short, Anna Bhavan with malayali management, hindi speaking and tamil speaking staff.
Despite the best location, they do not seem to know how to use the potential within. Lost opportunity. The outside attraction will soon fade with the inner...
