Ayswariya Hotel, located in Thakaraparambu, is a reliable spot for those who love traditional Indian food. They offer a wide variety of dishes, and the flavors remind me of homely cooking – comforting, fresh, and satisfying. I visit this place quite often, and the consistency in taste is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you’re sure to find something that suits your mood and appetite.
The seating area is spacious and well-arranged, making it comfortable for both individuals and families. The pricing is moderate, making it good value for money, especially considering the generous portions. They even have a parking area about 50 meters away from the restaurant, which is convenient in this part of the city.
One of the highlights is the owner himself – a genuinely nice person who takes time to check on customers, gather feedback, and ensure it’s addressed. That personal touch makes a difference. However, I’ve noticed that some staff members have attitude issues and can be a bit ignorant at times, which slightly affects the overall dining experience.
Another minor drawback is the drainage opposite the hotel’s entrance, which occasionally causes a foul smell near the doorway. Thankfully, it doesn’t affect the dining area inside.
Overall, Ayswariya Hotel is worth visiting for its authentic taste, homely feel, and fair pricing. A little improvement in staff behavior would easily make it a...
Read moreAyswariya Restaurant in Trivandrum is a delightful place for anyone looking to enjoy a wide variety of flavorful dishes. The menu is diverse, offering something for everyone, and the clearly displayed combo options make ordering much easier, especially for those who like to try a bit of everything. The ambience of the restaurant is modest yet clean and comfortable, making it a pleasant spot for both casual and family dining.
During my visit, I tried their chicken fry and putt and I must say, the taste truly stood out. The chicken fry had a unique flavor profile that sets it apart from the usual offerings in Trivandrum. The masala used was rich and aromatic, giving the dish a distinctive edge. It’s clear that the kitchen takes pride in crafting dishes with care and attention to flavor. The tea served alongside was excellent and paired perfectly with the meal, rounding off the experience nicely.
However, I did find the pricing slightly unfair. The chicken fry cost ₹230, and while the portion is generous—enough for two—it may not feel like good value for solo diners. Service was efficient and friendly, which added to the positive experience. Parking is not available on-site, but limited free street parking is an option. Overall, Ayswariya Restaurant is a worthwhile destination, especially for two people looking to enjoy a flavorful and...
Read moreI recently visited Aishwarya Hotel, and while the food was decent—particularly the meals—I had an unpleasant experience with the way they handled orders. I ordered a simple chicken curry, but instead, they brought a large portion of chicken peratiyathe, containing about six to eight pieces, clearly meant for a family. As a single person, I had no need for such a large dish, yet I was forced to deal with an oversized portion.
What struck me was the clear money-minded approach behind this. By upselling a 300-rupee curry, they managed to push my bill from a reasonable 100 rupees for the meal to 400 rupees. It felt like a deliberate strategy to increase the customer's spending.
After finishing my lunch, I spoke to the owner about this. I explained that it's unfair to push a customer from a 120-rupee meal (which is already on the expensive side but justifiable due to the quality) to a 400-rupee bill. I pointed out that this kind of practice feels like cheating, and it’s important to educate their staff that such an approach won’t benefit them in the long run. Unfortunately, the owner became defensive and even told me to stop talking.
This experience left a sour impression, and I felt compelled...
