Benhur Beer and Wine Parlour — Restaurant in Kerala

I had a terrible experience at this place. The management was rude, and the bar staff seemed inexperienced. Orders took way too long, and when I ordered a Teacher’s whisky, they gave me something else.

The service was a mess from the start. My first order resulted in ice flying across the bar counter. For my second order, the bartender poured the drink outside of the peg measure. My third order, a whisky on the rocks, came with more than ten ice cubes—way too much.

There were also some really questionable practices. I watched the bartenders smell leftover alcohol in glasses, use it to mix cocktails, and then serve them to customers. One of my friends even got splashed in the face with a cocktail while they were mixing drinks.

We sat at the bar because we didn’t have a reservation and were told we’d be moved to a table when one became available. Despite seeing multiple empty tables over the three hours we were there, no one offered us a seat.

To top it all off, they overcharged us for two extra drinks. When we pointed it out, they only removed one charge—essentially stealing from us. This place is poorly managed, and I...

I was thoroughly satisfied with the overall ambiance and service. this is my first time visit after the renovation ivation.

The interior of the Behhour Resto Bar, reminiscent of 1890s UK bars, which I seen in the movies, is truly remarkable and adds a unique charm to the venue. The bar itself is lovely and accommodates a significant number of clients comfortably.

I would also like to commend the staff member Mr.. Sahal who attended to us. He was exceptionally helpful in guiding us through our choices. We enjoyed a selection of beers, beer cocktails, chili pork dry, special chicken curry, along with Kerala porotta and naan. The pork dish was particularly delightful, and I found the Kerala porotta to be quite generous in size.

The property offers ample parking space in an adjacent plot, managed efficiently by security staff. The bar's interiors are tastefully designed, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It's an ideal spot for a game night, thanks to the large screen that adds to the lively vibe.

Though the menu is limited, most of the dishes are well-prepared and delicious. The beer and wine selection is decent, and the service truly stood out—the staff was incredibly attentive and made us feel comfortable throughout.
