Blue Moon Cafe — Restaurant in Kerala

A dark restaurant with dull ambience. Rates are high but the food and service is no where to be matched. A good thing is the view of sea as it as well on the cliff. Beer was not cold enough and tasted as if someone added water to it. Only Kingfisher Premium and Budweiser is available at inflated prices. Ordered golden fried prawns which were not upto mark and some people may find it surprising as they do not remove the shell be it head or the tail section. To not return empty stomach ordered chicken fried rice and the result was disappointing, chewy chicken pieces and rice felt like soggy rice silimar to what you open from a parcel after a long time. Service was slow. No one to come and check on customers if they need anything else or not. And did a totalling mistake in bill with just 3 items in it. Don't be fooled by the board they have outside mentioning the kerala breakfast options,nothing was available there except for dosa, poori. Worst customer service. Waited 1.5 hrs for a dosa which finally turned out to be a sour plastic paper that felt like it was made 2 days back. And a special mention to the chai which tasted like it was made out of curd and not milk. Finally the papad in the name of poori. Throughout the entire wait time of 1.5 hrs all the waiter replied was " 15 more mins sister". They told it was due to shortage of people in kitchen. I would give this place a 0 star rating if I could. It took about an hour and a half for us to be served our food. My friends who ordered fish said it was overcooked in some places and raw in other places. I ordered a very disappointing coconut chicken curry. There was no added coconut milk as I had expected, rather there were some strands of shredded coconut within the curry. The worst part is that the chicken in my curry had been deep fried and from the taste of it, I would say it was fried in the same oil they fry their fish in. Fishy chicken, YUCK.
