Central Hotel Thrissur — Restaurant in Kerala

The room is spacious and it was clean enough to stay in but I'm afraid everything else about the place is not worth the money and you could stay in a much nicer place for the same price. There is no Wi-Fi as stated or data reception in the room or public areas. There was as big ant problem in my room. Ants everywhere and some cockroaches too. Showers were stated as being hot but it was always cold with one tap working. The AC stopped working at night which made the room stuffy. Staff were friendly on check in and other times abrupt and don't smile when you go past or acknowledge you. I tried to order appam and hot chocolate from the menu and they said they don't do that or chai tea and yet it's offered on the menu. In fact no steamed rice things were available just bread despite what the menu says. The breakfast was not a buffet and there was no breakfast menu to look at. No daily cleaning service here and nobody comes to take your cups away when you order room service. I hate complaining but this place has a bad atmosphere. Central Hotel is bang opposite Trichur zoo, in the heart of the city. They have ample parking space and is a popular destination for fish thali and chilli chicken lovers in Trichur.

Central Hotel has a good rooms, a Bar and a restaurant. The food here is good and the staff is friendly. Coming from Bangalore, I found their food to be extremely pocket friendly and the fish thali was extremely tasty.

Although Trichur is along the coastal belt of Kerala, there are very few restaurants serving seafood in Trichur. So if you are in Trichur and want to have some good seafood, head to Central Hotel.
