VRINDAVAN PURE VEG — Restaurant in Kerala

I have had negative experiences with this restaurant not once but twice. The first time was on Shivaratri Eve, and the next was on Sunday morning. I still went to the restaurant even after the first incident because I thought that day's incident was due to the Navarathri rush. But when I went the next time and faced the same, then I understood it wasn't because of the rush, it was because of the negligence of the staff over there. First, when we arrived, they asked us to wait outside. They said they would call. We waited for 20–25 minutes, and while we were waiting, we could find many people leaving the restaurant after their breakfast, and still no one had a time to call us. When we checked inside, we could also find lots of space vacant. When I went inside, they behaved in a way that they had no idea of us waiting outside. Then when I said there are seats left and then why can't they called they are still saying there isn't space for 6 people. They could add up 2 more seats with 4 people seat, or they could have make people of 3 seat in 4 people seat. It shows their lack in managing. Secondly, the waiter who came to take the orders, he was like he is not at all interested in taking up the orders. He had no idea of who needs what and all. After that few minutes later still some other person came to take the order again. They lack in managing the staffs and orders and all. And for beverages, they took more time than the food to arrive. And finally, the FOOD. It was good for nothing, I never say about the food like this, but this was really a flop. The food was cold food. The sambar was with loads of water in it. The chutney was savourless. The masala which comes with poori was bland.

Actually, I was not ready to put the review, but I couldn’t resist posting it because it is not acceptable, that’s why I'm posting it...

Very rarely I visit a Veg restaurant while dining out. This time, one of my friend suggested this restaurant, as they claim to have lots of Special Fusion dishes, which almost tasted like Non-veg dishes. So the idea of tasting such dishes brought me here. To be frank, I really enjoyed the food experience. Very innovative dishes, rarely seen in other restaurants. In fact, never saw such fusion dishes in any other restaurant before. I am not a fan of Idly , but here I happened to taste IDLY in an all together different form, i.e., in a brand new disguise!! You won't believe it's an Idly, even after you tasted it. I just loved it & that is one of my favorites here. Generally speaking, it was a nice experience, all together in terms of Ambiance, Hospitality, Service & Food. Not all may like their fusion dishes, but I liked their innovative food a lot. So this is what we ordered :

Would definitely recommend to all. If you feel bored with the normal Veg food, try this Special Fusion Pure Veg items, for a change. They too have all the normal Veg items. Especially, IDLY haters, just try their Dragon Idly...it might change you to an Idly lover!!

I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the outstanding dining experiences I've had at Vrindavan restaurant over eight months during my posting at Thrissur. Their commitment to providing delicious vegetarian dishes ( I mainly had meals served on plantain leaf and occasionally others * mushroom fry/masala ) coupled with the exceptional service, has made my lunches truly memorable.

Special mention and appreciation to Ms. Shobha, Mr. Jithin, Mr. Sijo, and Mr. Jinson. Their dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and you guys played a significant role in making my each visit special. Your warmth and professionalism have consistently impressed me.

Ms. Shobha, your welcoming smile and attentiveness have made each visit a delight. Mr. Jithin, your expertise in recommending the perfect dishes and ensuring a seamless dining experience has been greatly appreciated. Mr. Sijo, your commitment to excellent service and attention to detail is truly commendable. And special thanks to Mr. Jinson, for completing my bills digitally. I am happy to recommend Vrindavan a go-to place for delicious and healthy vegetarian food, and it always leave you with a satisfied palate and a happy heart. The ambiance, the food quality, and the exceptional service are a testament to their commitment to excellence.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team, from the chefs to the waitstaff, for consistently delivering an outstanding dining experience. I 've been informed about opening a new branch soon nearby to Bus and Railway station in Thrissur. But don't know whether its commenced the service or not.
