Lily's stands out as one of the premier cafes and cake shops in Thrissur, and I've visited on multiple occasions to indulge in their delectable dishes and delightful cakes. Renowned for their diverse cake varieties, especially during the Christmas season, Lily's specializes in crafting Cakes, Pastries, Pie & Tarts, Breads, Beverages, and features handpicked items in Starters. Nestled near Vadakke Bus stand, close to Kalyan Hypermarket, the cafe operates on the 2nd floor of TT Devassy Jewellery.
The cafe is impeccably clean and well-maintained, providing a cozy ambiance that makes it a popular spot, often bustling on weekends and holidays. It's an ideal place in Thrissur for a date or a sweet rendezvous with friends.
I've consistently experienced excellent customer service at Lily's. The staff is polite, friendly, and attentive, demonstrating a knack for suggesting dishes tailored to individual tastes.
Recently, I had the pleasure of trying their English White Plum Cake, a seasonal delicacy not commonly found. Priced at Rs 1320 for 750 gm, the cake comes beautifully packaged in tins. It proved to be a luscious and unique treat. We all personally liked the cake very much and it is one of the best plum cakes we have ever had till now. In addition to the White Plum Cake, they also offer the following cakes
Macadamia and Nocciola Toffe cake French vanilla and Butterscotch cake Christmas Fruit Cake Dates and Carrot Cake Lily's Christmas Cake
Having previously sampled a chicken starter, dessert cake, and a cup of coffee during a past visit, I regrettably don't recall the specific names due to the passage of time. However, I can affirm that the items were delightful.
In terms of cost, it's worth noting that Lily's falls on the higher side, particularly for their premium cakes, most of which are priced above 1k.
For those seeking a variety of mouthwatering cakes to celebrate the Christmas/New Year occasion, and budget not being a constraint, Lily's is the go-to destination. Their extensive range of offerings promises a delightful experience for cake...

Tried out their brownie plum cake today that looks like a brownie with the cracked top beneath which is a layer of melt in the mouth heaven like textured plum cake filling that has been 1 year matured soaking in 1% rum solution.
Can't call it a fusion really, something beautiful on its own, and the process of maturing for 1 year has soaked up the flavor of rum with a slight burn too 🔥
And this has to be warmed in the slightest possible temperature just enough to awaken the brownie, nothing short of divine.
Wow.
Just floored by how good eating this felt.
Also tried out the Ceylon Vatalappam cake with jaggery sauce that's another absolute delicacy.
Original Review: 2020
First one was for a take away order compromising of Pistachio milk cake, Saffron Milk cake, and dark chocolate with strawberry mousse.
Exceptionally good palada payasam cake, Dark chocolate Quella cake (this is the best ever).
2nd visit was today, we dined in. Our order comprised of Americano, 2 plain croissants ,2 pain au chocolat , chicken pesto parmesan on sourdough. Everything except the coffee was real good, especially the sourdough bread. The parmesan garnishing could have been a little more generous.
All in all a good place to visit, ambience is classy, the staff is super friendly and very hospitable. I'd say too friendly.
The croissant has a nice cross sectional cut and the chocolate used in pain au chocolat is real good. Dark, but not bitter, signs of couverture chocolate.
During festive seasons, for Onam, they have payasam themed cakes, viz Palada payasam cake, Elaneer payasam cake, pazham payasam cake. For Christmas they have Plum cake, white chocolate plum cake, dates & carrot cake. For easter they have easter eggs, hot cross buns and other themed products. For ramadan they have iftar snacks like pazham pozhi, unnaka, baclava, basboosa.
Mr. Rajeev the executive chef is a super friendly person who brightens...
Read moreNo sunlight /no city view within the shop. The seat and table don't gel. Tables are too high. Making the seating uncomfortable . Felt like a study position . The waiting area looked more appealing but we were told it cannot be used for dine in. Coffee mocha- cocoa was watered down , it wasn't as delicious as it could have been. The biscotti served with the drink was 10/10. The ginger lemon tea lacked the ginger punch. The paneer cream cheese puff was tasty, 9/10. We packed a chocolate brownie, almond cookie and a chocolate chunk cookie. The chocolate brownie was a disappointment. It didn't taste like chocolate , rather it had a chemical smell that reminded me of cockroach spray. Perhaps the box it was stored in was the reason? Terrible tasting. The almond cookie was another disappointment, it felt like I was eating air. Not sweet not buttery not almondy ( for lack of an actual word ) No specific taste. This too had a smell of packaging. The chocolate cookie was the saviour. It's a lovely cookie. The brownie was a big disappointment. Also, the countertop glass is cloudy on the inside. Perhaps the expectations are higher as the prices are higher 😌 I didn't have any cake. Maybe that's the reason for the unhappy experience. Of late I don't post reviews when the experience is a sad one, but the chemical smell is something that should be looked into. Masks hide smiles and the dimly lit space makes everything feel a little like a...
