A Truly Memorable Culinary Experience at Empire Plaza, Cochin
From the moment we stepped into Empire Plaza in Cochin, we were greeted with warmth, hospitality, and a welcoming ambiance that immediately set the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional dining experience. This restaurant is an absolute gem, and if you're in or around Cochin and haven’t visited yet, you are definitely missing out on something special.
We ordered the vegetarian meal, which was a delightful surprise in both quality and quantity. The highlight was the unlimited refill of rice served with a smile, accompanied by generous portions of sambar and rasam. The flavors were nothing short of phenomenal—homely yet rich, balanced yet bold. The sambar was perfectly spiced, the rasam had a comforting kick to it, and the entire meal felt like a warm embrace. Every spoonful transported us to a place of culinary comfort that reminded us of a lovingly cooked home meal—but even better.
And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, came the show-stoppers: Dragon Chicken and Biryani.
The Dragon Chicken was a true explosion of flavor—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, coated in a sauce that was perfectly balanced between sweet, spicy, and tangy. It was beautifully garnished and served piping hot, and every bite left us wanting more. It wasn’t just food; it was a celebration on a plate.
The Biryani, oh the biryani—fragrant, flavorful, and flawlessly cooked. The rice was perfectly layered, each grain separate and infused with the rich aroma of spices. It had that irresistible depth of flavor that only a perfectly made biryani can deliver. Whether you’re a biryani connoisseur or a casual diner, this one will steal your heart.
The portion sizes were generous, the pricing extremely reasonable, and the overall experience was worth every single penny. In fact, it felt like we were getting much more than what we paid for—a rare feeling these days.
To top it all off, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, always ready to assist with a smile, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal.
Empire Plaza is more than just a restaurant—it's an experience, one that satisfies not only your appetite but also your soul. This place truly sets the bar for culinary excellence in Cochin. Highly, highly...
Read moreEmpire Plaza in Kundanoor, Kochin is a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious seafood lunch. The location of the restaurant is convenient, as it is situated in NH, just North East of Kundanoor flyover. There is ample parking space available for cars, and the parking security is excellent, ensuring the safety of all guests.
Even during the busy lunchtime, we were able to find an appropriate seat for dining, thanks to the staff who were helpful and accommodating. The staff's friendly and humble nature made the dining experience more pleasant.
The menu offered a variety of seafood dishes, and we decided to order King fish curry, squid fry, and chicken kondattam. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious taste of the dishes. The seafood was cooked to perfection, and the King fish curry, in particular, stood out for its traditional cooking method, which reminded us of our grandmother's cooking. The freshness of the Kingfish was also evident in every bite.
It was refreshing to see that the dishes served were as good as mentioned on the menu card, which is not always the case in many restaurants. The taste was exceptional and did not disappoint us.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves seafood for their lunch. The staff is well-trained, friendly, and always ready to help. Overall, Empire Plaza is the best restaurant in the Kundanoor area, and it is ideal for guests who are proceeding to Southern Kerala from Cochin airport.
As a Google guide, I can guarantee that the experience at Empire Plaza will be a memorable one. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a perfect seafood lunch, and I would definitely visit again when I am in the area. Thank you, Empire Plaza, for the super tasty lunch and...
Read moreI regret to update my previous positive review for Emirates Hotel as my recent dining experience left much to be desired. The decline in both food quality and overall services was palpable, prompting me to reevaluate my opinion. The most concerning aspect was the apparent disregard for freshness, as it seemed they were reheating old dishes, leading to a significant decline in taste and presentation.
The "mandhi rice" was a far cry from the authentic dish it claimed to be. The rice and vegetable medley resembled something I could have easily prepared at home, with an overwhelming addition of masala that rendered the entire dish bitter. It was disheartening to witness such a deviation from the promised culinary experience.
The disappointment extended to other items on the menu as well. The appam appeared as though it had been reheated, lacking the freshness one would expect. The Beef coconut fry and cheiyulli beef were average at best, failing to impress with any distinctive flavors or quality. Nadan Chicken curry, in particular, left me frustrated and dissatisfied, as it failed to meet even the basic expectations for a traditional dish.
Considering the decline in the overall dining experience, I strongly advise potential patrons to steer clear of this restaurant. Choosing Emirates Hotel for your dining needs may not only leave your taste buds unsatisfied but also raise concerns about the impact on your stomach's well-being. It's unfortunate to witness such a drop in standards, and I hope this feedback serves as a constructive critique for...
