Hotel Akshaya — Restaurant in Kerala

People, visit at your own risk❗️ This happened to us group of 10 friends when we went out to dine at this restaurant at 10:30 pm as no other restaurants where open at this time. We gave our orders and as there were only 4 seats at a table we took out two seats and placed them beside both of our tables so that we could share our food together. As we were waiting for our food to arrive the manager came out from reception and yelled at one of our friends who was sitting in the 5th seat at table, "ninakkonnum areele ithu aalu pona vazhi aanennu, maari irikkeda" and pulled the seat back while our friend was sitting on it, we were traumitized by this unprovoked rude behaviour and decided to leave the hotel at once and cancelled our order. This was byfar the worst experience I ever had from a restaurant and I would highly recommend against from visiting...

One of the specialty to be told about this hotel is that u can rely on this place even if its late night and even if all the other hotels are getting also this place stays open (Maximum 1 am). Talking about the food , this place serves some great south Indian dishes, i have had mostly lunch from here which will be either meals or biriyani which was great. It has enough seating capacity and even during rush times it doesn't look so crowded, there is separate family space available in the first floor as well. Parking will be of an issue here and there is no space to park in front of the hotel, best option is to leave the car behind or park it somewhere in pay park which is around 300 mtrs away from the restaurant, bike parking can be managed with the few space...

For foodies that do not know, there are multiple Akshaya Hotels in Thrissur run by brothers of the same family. The food here in this outlet is above par as far as an average Non Vegetarian Restaurant in Thrissur is concerned. The costing is perfect for a Middle Class Family Outing. I have rated their Punkunnam branch higher due to larger space, choice and service.

The service is highly questionable in a crowded scenario. Me and my wife had to walk out because we didn't get what we asked for even after 20 mins. I have independently enjoyed the food here though. The parking is also a slight challange if you are on a four wheeler. I would rate the hotel a 3.5 if I had an option to. Recommend during not so...
