This is one of the older hotels in Thrissur, but it is well maintained. The rooms are spacious, which made our stay comfortable. There is ample parking space. The location is convenient, with the Ring Road, temples, and many restaurants within walking distance. We stayed here two days after Onam and noticed a staff shortage, which affected service. At dinner, although there were five servers and a manager, they struggled to handle our group of 15. We understand delays due to fewer staff, but the bigger issue was that the team was often away in the kitchen, leaving the dining area unattended. Guests had to fetch water themselves, and placing new orders became difficult. It would help if the hotel ensured at least one staff member was always present in the dining area to assist guests. On a positive note, the breakfast was enjoyable, with freshly made dosas that were very tasty. Overall, despite the hiccups in service, the stay was good and the hotel remains a convenient and comfortable choice in Thrissur.

Went for a family trip to Athiripally and Guruvayur elephant kottai …hence wanted to stay at a place dissecting both this places …so we decided to stay at Luciya Palace…first things first..Location Is in the heart of the town …first glimpse of the hotel from outside you get awestruck…check in was quick …however felt a bit of the warmth missing …the receptionist offered. Twin bed or king bed …we chose King and it was perfect for us (family of 4 with 2 small kids) …since it was Good Friday I was told there was no restaurant (no room service) …room was neat …bathroom was also well maintained..had a really cool AC and TV which was modern…I am leaving out 1 star due to 2 factors …first lack of proper room service on Good Friday…second the missing warmth in service…but I still would suggest this hotel if you are on a halt at Thrissur ..worth the penny (I booked through clear trip and the rate was below 2.5k)

Luciya Palace, Trishur – A Disastrous Stay that Failed Its Guests at Every Turn

Our experience at Luciya Palace, Trishur was nothing short of a nightmare. Despite its 4-star claims, Luciya Palace fell disgracefully short of even basic standards, leaving us disappointed, inconvenienced, and utterly disillusioned. Here’s a detailed account of the exhausting issues we faced:

Bathroom Leak – Forced to Endure Filthy Conditions

Imagine checking into a 4-star hotel, only to be greeted by a bathroom leak below the commode. We were forced to navigate a flooded, unsanitary space each time we used the bathroom. Luciya Palace, Trishur didn’t just fail to maintain basic hygiene—it forced us to live in conditions that should be unimaginable at a hotel of this supposed caliber.

Complete Laundry Service Failure – Left Without Essential Clean Clothing

Having followed Luciya Palace’s instructions for laundry pick-up by 6:30 a.m., we expected our clothing would be collected while we were out. But upon returning, we found our laundry bag placed back inside the room, untouched. Our simple request was ignored, leaving us stranded without clean clothing and showcasing the indifference Luciya Palace, Trishur has toward guest needs.

3 a.m. Silent Calls – Our Right to Rest Violated Repeatedly

We endured silent calls at 3 a.m., disrupting our sleep in what should have been a restful environment. This senseless invasion of our privacy is inexcusable, and the lack of hotel intervention speaks volumes about their inability—or unwillingness—to protect their guests’ peace. For a 4-star hotel, this disregard for basic guest comfort is shocking and exhausting.

Early Morning Call for Teaspoons – A Bizarre and Unprofessional Disruption

Already drained from the 3 a.m. disturbances, we were abruptly woken again at 7:45 a.m., this time with a request for teaspoons 😆. It’s hard to comprehend the level of disorganization here, as Luciya Palace, Trishur’s front desk casually excused this mishap, blaming “another guest dialing the wrong number.” Such lax professionalism only added to our sense of exasperation, proving Luciya Palace, Trishur is more careless than competent.

Dismal Lighting in Our Room – Assigned a Dark and Dreary Space

Luciya Palace, Trishur placed us in a room with abysmal lighting, creating a gloomy, depressing atmosphere that only intensified our frustration. Other rooms were properly lit, making it clear we were left with a substandard option. Luciya Palace, Trishur’s lack of attention to room quality felt like an afterthought, leaving us to make do in an uncomfortable and uninviting space. When complained they offered to change the room but it was too late.

No Access to the General Manager – A Complete Absence of Accountability

As issues continued to mount, we attempted to speak with the General Manager, only to be told this was “not possible, and to speak to reception.” This refusal to connect guests with management underscores Luciya Palace, Trishur’s blatant disregard for accountability or guest feedback. We were left feeling powerless, with no opportunity to have our grievances addressed.

In-Room Dining Delays – Slow, Unresponsive Service That Left Us Waiting

While the food was good, the service was exasperatingly slow. We waited an unreasonable amount of time for meals, with staff appearing indifferent to any sense of urgency. This sluggish, unresponsive dining experience added to the sense that Luciya Palace, Trishur.

Final Reflection – Luciya Palace, Trishur’s “4-Star” Title Is Meaningless Our stay at Luciya Palace, Trishur was a series of disappointments, invasions of privacy, and neglect of basic needs. The hotel’s failures left us exhausted, inconvenienced, and deeply frustrated. Luciya Palace, Trishur is a place to avoid if you value professionalism, comfort, or simply being treated with respect. It is a 4-star hotel in name only—offering none of the standard quality or care expected...

We had our Onam Sadhya with family here and it was way below average. I will put my review in 3 parts:

Food- The food was cold and tasteless. One of the examples, The pappad was done maybe very early and wasn’t crispy at all and shows they are not experienced or concerned to provide a real Sadhya experience. Not missing to mention the rest of the items were more or less the same, doesn’t taste even close to the real dish. Being in the heart of Thrissur, I wonder how can they go wrong in understanding or providing a real Sadhya. The items are Kerala staple and the recipes can’t go wrong in Kerala.

Service- The service was amateurishly done when I say this it’s not the place every dish is served we had a problem with as Sadhya has these rules but the lack of experience they showed in handling a large group by being super slow that one will run out of patience to ask for more.

The venue- The room they chose to host the Sadhya was hot and hardly made us feel the AC was working. It was also dingy and dark.

The reason why we chose a hotel to have Sadhya is for good food, ambience and service. Overall felt it was a waste of money and we missed Thirvona Sadhya for this year. We should have just gone to Hyatt regency or some other hotel or sat at home and ordered from some famous...
